how? i welded up my old CJ tank (got it as dry as possible) and inserted a hose from the exhaust from a running vehicle and the lack ofr combustible gas made it a simple fix.. i'm still here, so it worked, altho i had nervous visions of the garage roof getting blown to bits and my corpse flying thru the air...

Probably link it......my wife is hot on me getting this going soon as she has decided we need a support rig while competing(so she doesnt have to walk and hold the baby so much.....).
The only down side is I have to swap in my last dana 300 tcase....and probably an automatic......but then it will be good to go.....4.0 i6,tf999 auto,dana300,front 60 rear 70....links all around!!!!I still want 39 inch tsls for it though.....instead of 37 mtrs.

hashing up an old post.... when you did the upper link on this, what size joint is that at the rear? 1" or 1.25"...
and then do you have any pictures of the cross member? or did you just bring the mounts off the frame?
where's the update??? :Big Grin:

THE UPPER LINK JOINT IS A 1.25.....
AND THERE IS NO CROSSMEMBER FOR THE UPPER LINK,I DRILLED AND SLEEVED THE FRAME AND ADDED INNER TABS SO IT WAS ALL MOUNTED DOUBLE SHEER.THE LOWER LINKS JUST GO TO THE BOTTOM OF THE FRAME.
THIS RIG IS CURRENTLY AT MY BUDDY WHO WELDS PURDY FOR A FRONT LINK JOB THAT SHOULD PRETTY MUCH LOOK EXACTLY LIKE MY TWO SEAT BUGGYS FRONT END!!!

Wonder what the charge is going to be on the airshocks to get 7" of up out front out of a 2.0??
I'd sell 4 of your 2.0's and get some Fox or SAW 2.5's for the front, your wife's back will appreciate it! Or at that point a used set of 2.0 C/O's or some new FOA C/O's might not be a bad idea.

Good idea! that GIANT clevis is a pain, plus the pins and/or what they go through wear pretty quick creating slop. to bad the shaft didn't come drilled/tapped AND threaded on the outside so you could go either way.

funny how you can build a comp buggy from the ground up before you do a few weekends worth of work on the YJ, is there a reason you couldnt build a set of twin sticks or are you just figuring its money well spent? my dad is at the cross road of either build or buy them so this might make the decision

i think 100 bucks is fair for the amount of work that goes in them, and jrat is a cool guy(who i got your D60 from:gapteeth:) i hear you on finding good deals when you wait, sometimes is fun to have a long term project just so you can find all those deals and then put it together on the cheap.

FWIW, I had built a set of shifters for my junk. Took a LOOONG time tracking down the right shit, fitting etc. The throw is still too long, so I have to go back and work that out.
I wish they MADE something for my cases, but...not a whole lot of demand for the 203-19 spline split case combo.:dunno:

THEY ARENT SUPER HARD TO BUILD JUST THOUGHT SINCE THE JB ONES WERE STAINLESS THEY MIGHT BE A BIT MORE RIGID AND NOT FLEX LIKE THE POS CURRIE ONES.....
OH AND I WAS GONNA TELL YA THIS RIG ACTUALLY HAS A FUEL CELL WITH THE STOCK IN TANK FUEL PUMP AND SENDER INSTALLED INTO IT....LUCK WOULD HAVE IT THAT RCI MAKES A TANK THAT IS REALLY CLOSE TO THE SAME DEPTH AS A STOCK JEEP TANK..... I THOUGHT THERE WAS A WRITE UP ABOUT IT AROUND HERE SOMEWHERE......:dunno:

I'm closing in on some options for the tank/ pump dilemma. I won't take up your thread space with it though.
Thanks for the heads up on it.
