nice pics Aaron. i've gotta make it to Moab one of these days, can't wait until i do. :D
i now think that bolt-on is the only way to go. it's cheaper (sometimes), easier, and you'll be out wheeling it faster than when building a custom rig.

I KEEP TRYING TO TELL MYSELF THAT A STEETABLE CLEAN 4X4 RIG WOULD BE COOL!!!BUT, I KNOW THE FIRST TIME MY HARDCORE DRIVING SKILLZ WOULD COST ME A BUNCH MORE $$$ WITH THE REPAIR OF BODY DAMAGE THAT I WOULD INFLICT!!!THAT IS A REALLY SWEET UNLIMITED,JUST DONT OFFER TO LET ME DRIVE IT!!!
I THINK BOLT ON IS A MISUSED TERM!!!A RUBICON EXPRESS LONG ARM KIT IS FAR FROM BOLT ON(SINCE A CUTTING WHEEL IS INVOLVED AND YOU PERMANENTLY MODIFY THE VEHICLE!!)
BOLT ON BUMPERS,SLIDERZ,SPARE TIRE MOUNTS ARE TRUE BOLT ONS!!!

BOLT-ON WORKS FINE WHEN YOU ARE STARTING OUT IN THE GAME. GETS YOU OUT ON THE FUN TRAILS WITH PROBABLY JUST A FEW WEEKENDS SPENT WORKING ON YOUR RIG. AFTER TIME THOUGH YOU REALIZE THAT A LOT OF THE "BOLT-ON" PARTS YOU BOUGHT AREN'T UP TO THE STRESSES OF HARDCORE WHEELING OR EVEN MODERATE WHEELING LIKE RUBICON OR FORDYCE, AND THEY FATIGUE AND START BREAKING. IF YOU STAY WITH THE ROCKCRAWLING GAME LONG ENOUGH, YOU WILL END UP WITH SOME SORT OF CUSTOM SET UP WITH YOUR RIG.

My Jeep has seen many trails with little fatigue. The thing is I have done the whole build and fab your own shit, just got tired of always fabbin something to work. So, I purchased the LJ and have had little complaints, and NO TRAILER INVOLED getting it to the trail. I think I'll be keeping this one for a while:rolleyes:

Nope, the buggy was a pile of shit. Since I sold it 3 different people have owned it, you think its got some issues:rolleyes:
Im not a big fan of RE, I would have preferred Jim's kit. Wasn't gonna fit the budget though.

jsut wait for the first time you get it on its side or lid... THEN your rig will change from its present bolt-on state

Ok, bolt-on or strap-on, it works for some things. Here is a pic of the Tiregate i added by bolt-on application. After a few cold ones and having a spare hi-lift laying around-- 30 minutes later, some mig wire and presto-- have a new mount for the jack. Should have done this long ago it was so simple and it just reeks with cool factor.
