New section will be cool....but i don't see why i cant give tech advice....check this out
How to Install new ring and pinion.
1. Drink a beer and remove old setup.
2. Make sure you have new bearings and some shims.
3. wiggle ring and pinion, if it has to much play add more shims, if not enough remove shims.
4. drink a beer and wonder who designed the rear end like this.
5. take it out, set it on bench and drink a beer.
6. Realize it would have been easier if you counted how many shims were on it before you removed the old setup.
7. Drink a beer and wonder why your wife spent so much money buying worthless crap that you cant afford to take it to sambo.
8. Drink a beer and decide that you are the mechanic you think you are and put it back in with some more shims.
9. Knock your beer over with foot while trying to reposition yourself to hold the third member in and reach the bolt for the cap that has rolled down the driveway.
10. get pissed about spilling beer, get another one and yell something rude to wife thru garage door.
11. Climb back under truck stare at third member and try and remember what you saw on 4x4tv about setting this up.
12. Drink a beer lying under truck and get some up your nose from weird angle.
13. Realize you don't have a clue as to what your doing, eyeball it and say yup that feels like the right amount of backlash, bolt everything back together, add oil and drink your last beer.
