i've had failure using worm-screw hose clamps on the pressure side of the EFI MOPAR conversion system. The clamps dig, tear and ultimately cause failure of the rubber fuel line. A small tear over time will dry out and cause an EFI failure-- yep, i know after an aborted run to bronco canyon sat. The external fuel pump just sucks air and will ADS the computer. What do u use? i see constant tension clamps to be one solution-- others say use two worm screw clamps-- but does that matter if ur flared on the end or not? played w/ the new 'double flare kit' tonight and i need more paractice...
then there are new from gates a polymeric band--- like heat shrink electrical tubing but for cooling and fuel systems. Uh, like u i want to swing a heat gun around the fuel ports on the tank... i did get to see gas boil saturday as i de-pressurized the fuel rail and a 1/4 cup of gas pooled into a recess of the intake manifold-- fire extinguisher at the ready of course.
so, what says you?

missed NAPA tonight qafter work-- too many honey-do's in the yard. With that style clamp, which BTW looks like the trick, is it suggested a flared end be prepared for the solid fuel line? I've gotten pretty good w/ that double flare tool and will incorporate that feature in the fuel lines thru the rig. Many techs advise dual hose clamps, to prevent radial expansion under pressure, but i'm not convinced. The cutting and tearing of the worm screw seems to go against wisdom. I'll try the referenced clamps and like i said on the...uh... other board, I'll post up results. Shit, the registration is up next week, so i gotta get on this now.
Felt really unsafe and likely illegal driving home sun night from bronco canyon w/ extended fuel lines snaking from the rear fender well out and over to the jerry can-- all secured in place w/ supposed 200 mph dect tape.
Time, beer, parts, welder (for the filter brackets) some new NAPA fuel line, an exacto knife and those clamps-- then we'll know.

THE PROBLEM WITH PUTTING A FLARE ON THE END IS YOU USUALLY CREATE TOO TALL OF A RIDGE FOR THE HOSE TO FIT OVER.AND IT MAY CAUSE THE LINE TO BE CUT THERE AGAIN ONCE YOU TIGHTEN IT DOWN.IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT IT COMING OFF ,YOU CAN GET A HARDLINE ADAPTER AT SUMMIT AND CONVERT IT OVER TO ALL AN TYPE FITTINGS!!!!OR USE TWO CLAMPS.(AS YOU ALREADY STATED!!!)

Rockape has it right Mark, do it right with the hardline adapter and run an fittings and braided lines, then you shouldn't have any worries, (more expensive ?? yes, but it'll last for a long, long time and without issues.) and the braided lines are more resiliant against rubbing and exposure. It'll be worth the expense in the long run...(Raji).
