New to this board, came over from Reno4x4. I came here looking for info on bronco canyon. I have an 85 runner on rockwells and 44's. Looking to link it up this winter on 49's and hook up the rear steer. Have some older pics over on reno4x4. If anyone wants to give out directions to bronco canyon the hooligans would love to check it out. As a side note, we are heading to moonrocks the sunday/monday after thanksgiving if anyone wants to come out and party with us!!!

Hey Dane, Yes its the rig that was in Vegas and Texas before. I Had the CJ7 with the BBC and 1 tons before. I have been wanting to go rocks, so I figured this was a good starting point. I put a new motor in it and just rebuilt the front with new seals and boots. I still want to rebuild the links and do some tube work on it. I love wheelin the BIG BUGGY. See ya on the trail. RD

I would rather wait till spring when I am linked at both ends with the queer steer hooked up, but it sounds like the kind of trail I could rreally have fun on. Isnt there a $500 payout for one of the waterfalls. A couple of beers and the promise of cash, somebody better get the video camera!!!

I do believe that you do, but our camp never seems to have a lack of beer. I have an extra keg of fat tire I will be bringing out this weekend and it needs to be gone by the time I leave on monday. Also, if there are any out there that are having the itch to wheel, but the rig is down, or you are currently rigless, come out and beat on my 4runner for a while. This will hopefully be its last trip on leaf springs and they need to pay for all the trouble they have given me!!!

I broke my front drive shaft on the rocks and while during the recovery I tore my crossmember apart. Had I not ran into a tree earlier in the day and bent my hi lift into a "U" I could have gotten out of there easier with minimal damage. Engine is going to be coming out this week, its V8 time.

He now has a stinger too, but broke his hydro mount and front axle a few weeks ago doing some testing at pretty shitty.

Its 1am and we just finished lincoln locking the rear of Troys sami and putting the trutrac in the front. 30 spline longs and new marlin knuckle studs round out the package. Only drivetrain modification was to add a tcase ebrake. Samurai looks good, hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving and we will see you this weekend.

This really was a fun trip and I missed seeing you all out there. The runner did ok, broken rear dshaft yoke, bent the FUCK and I mean the FUCK out of those god forsaken leaf springs and flopped twice. Those leafs will not die, I think I have more flex with my 90 degree bent leaf springs than I ever had before. We managed to put up with 4X4Babe for the weekend, but if you ASSHATS decide to pull that bullshit again we might need to have words. J/K, you guys missed a good weekend and you should have just come out to mooch the free beer. Aside from damn near freezine to death, and having to tow that big donkey 4runner over the pass in a storm all went super well. I look forward to meeting you all at another time!!!
