People arent willing to work through problems sometimes, and work with each other to make a marrage work, they think the grass is always greener, or that they should be single. Then they are single, hook up with somebody else and get married again and have the same problems with the new ball and chain. Then the kids are negatively effected by the decision. Are you willing to let some other guy raise your kid. Are you ready to deal with the concequences? The grass is not always greeener, but it takes a bunch of work from BOTH people to make it happen.

She might have been inapropriate in her actions, but you are no saint either I am guessing. I know a lot of people that regret thier hasty divorce that they realize was a mistake too late, and even if you are friends now, that does not make it all good in the long term. If thier are real problems in the relationship (like if she is really screwing another dude),divorce may be the best choice, but nothing I have seen in this thread is a real deal breaker, sometimes divorce is the easy way out, and the man thing to do is to take care of his family. Marrage is not always easy or fun, and it is normal for 2 compatable people to have hard times, and to get past them and have a good marrage. Its good that you sorta stayed friends. Make sure you keep lines of communication open so all of the bills get paid by one or the other so your credit doesnt get fucked by simple misunderstandings. This sounds stupid, but its easy to think that someone else paid something to find out that they didnt and you are on the hook for it.
