STARTED ADDING SOME TUBE TO THE BUGGY, I'M GOING TO FINISH OFF THE BACK BUT I DECIDED TO DO THE FRONT FIRST. IT NEEDED A LITTLE PROTECTION FOR THE WINCH, AND SOMEPLACE TO HANG THE HAMMOCK. :Big Grin:

Its a 68 dunebuggy I picked up in Boulder City this summer. It was in a airplane hanger in BC fot the past twenty years or so. My Dad really liked it so we decided to go partners on a rebuild and restro. We have done all new brakes, new rims and tires, built the cage. I still have to build the nerf bars to tie the A and B pillers together. We are going with some PRP seats, new paint job, and an 1835 motor should be here in a couple of weeks. Its got a 1500 now and runs pretty good but we want to be able to run some paddles in the dunes to. This car is being built for car shows, dirt roads, dunes, and just having fun. :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin:  RD

Isnt that a manx body on a vw chassis?? I always thought those were kinda cool. Like a baja bug, but better in some ways, the cage makes it much more appealing!!

NICE!!!ARE YOU GONNA TIE THE FRONT BEAM INTO THE CAGE???SURE WOULD ADD A BUNCH OF STRENGTH TO KEEP THE CHASSIS FLEX TO A MINIMUM AS WELL AS TO KEEP THE SPIDER WEB CRACKS AWAY!!!!
