View Full Version : Transmision ??

My transmision is on its way out, it wont stay in 1st gear and pops out of 4th.
Its the AX-15. Question is do I have it rebuilt or swap in somthing different.
Other info: 93 Yj, 4.0 tires: 35-13.50 4.56 gears locked front and rear. Thanks for any advise.

4 speed 4 speed 4 speed! I dont know what exactly you would have to do. But thats my opinion. Thanks for hunting sat that was FUN!

swap it. evryone i know who has had one had problems. they always had them "rebuilt" fixed but still always a problem

you can swap an aw4 auto in from an xj fairly easily...

I really hate to agree with SV, but fourspeed is the way to go. You could swap to auto, but you could shoot yourself in the foot too. Full throttle assaults are more fun when you can grab gears at will.
