Here is a stupid question...
Doing a twin stick to a 203...does that allow you to do rear drags?
Would it be better to do a 203/205 doubler? (running 3:73's and have no plans to change that any time soon, unless some rockwells majically show up at my doorstep). I figure the doubler is better but the twin stick set up from ORD is less than 200 bucks and I would spend a bit more than that to do a doubler.
Why would you need to do a triple stick?

THE THROTTLE TRUGGY HAS AN ORD DOUBLER AND ROCKWELLS!!!THE THREE STICKS ARE FOR.... 1 IS HIGH LOW AND NEUTRAL FOR THE 203 THE OTHER TWO CONTROL HIGH LOW AND NUETRAL FOR THE AXLES EACH ONE CONTROLS AN AXLE!!!WITH THE DOUBLER YOU HAVE 1-1 2-1 AND 4-1 LOW RANGES!!!!WITH 6.71s IN THE AXLES AND AN AUTO TRANS IF YOU ONLY ENGAUGE ONE AXLE IT HAS ENOUGH TORQUE AT IDLE ON THE PAVEMENT TO OVER-RIDE THE BRAKES AND JUST SIT AND TURN THE TIRES WHILE THE OTHER AXLE HOLES IT IN PLACE!!!!!!BUT ALL SAID AND DONE IF YOU ARE GONNA GO DOUBLER.....IT IS THE SAME PRICE OR CHEAPER TO GO WITH A TWO SPEED STAK!!!!OR SPEND SOME EXTRA AND GET THE THREE SPEED STAK!!!!

No no no, A stak is a type of aftermarket transfer case like a atlas. Google is yer friend. Next, doublers are VERY heavy when compared to a stak or atlas...long to. This will make your driveline very short depending on the rig. From your sig, i would amagin this is going in the big ass chevy you have...The whole twin stick thing you can do yourself...I did and it was no big deal at all, however I would doubt you would ever even use it on the trail. Your best bet would be to change the gear ratio in your axles if you want gearing or for the best bang for your buck throw a granny tranny in there...good luck...
Ohh by the way, lo-max offers a 3:1 kit for the 205 assuming that is what you have in your rig....

I lost my clutch foot in the Army so a granny tranny is out of the question for me. Besides, I love my T-400 and the big block has decent torque, truck only has 35's under it right now.
Yea I am not real concerned about length and honestly, a 205 weighs what, around 200 pounds. That really isnt going to make or break me in my pig of a truck.
This is going to sound stupid to ya'll. The reason I have not regeared is I dont know how to do it. I mean I know how to do it, but it is something I have never done and dont trust to do it myself.
Now I can slap in a 203/205 under my trail rig no problem.
Atlas is too damn expensive, if I were a pro crawler, I would be concerned with the weight, but this is just my weekend warrior rig. Few hundred pounds is a small price to pay for the money saved that can go towards other shit, beer, hookers, etc.
Then I started playen around with the idea of a twin sticked 203, not sure why. I will probably end up going with a doubler anyway when time and money permit.
Or maybe I should just say screw it and go with Rockwells, that is a cool way to regear!

Agreed....If you find a good deal, you might be able to find a set of rockwells for about the same price as the doubler set up...shave it and run some big ol' tires and you'll be set. Sorry to hear about the the disablity, but thank you for doing everything you have.....Good luck with the rig....

Okay so an atlas, depending on which you buy, is better that 2 grand.
I couldnt find the doubler kit on Advance Adapters site for the 205 but a NP203/D-300 was $600.
What about the LoMax 205? It is $2,100. That dosent really answer the doubler question but it is a 3:1 like the Atlas. And it comes twin sticked lol. (I think the Atlas does too though).
Oh yea, the staks is about the same, $2,600.
What did you spend over 2k on in your doubler? Is there that much misc shit that you have to buy? All I can really think of aside from some welding rod for a new c-member is new driveshafts.
What I am getting at is, it dosent seem to matter which direction you go, seems like it is about a 2k job...or am I not seeing something?
Which is a shit pile more money than I was looking to spend, I liked the $200 price of the ORD twin stick lol.
