Nice job with the toy axles!! They are a great overall axle and for jeeps they make an easy swap.

She's doing fine, but she really wants me to get my ass in gear so we can do some wheeling again. With the exception of Moab this year our summer was pretty lame.

The body is something I'm trying to fix up now. I wan't the Jeepster to be good for the family, and street legal.
Fixing it up to put a windshield back on it.

Reattaching the stock rear section, minus 10".

The Yota axles have worked well, My first buildup was beyond low budjet, and the axles fit great, and were easily obtained. They were 4" wider than the stock junk my Jeepster had, and have disk brakes. I have definately been surprised by their durability, and I love the design. 30 spline lonfields are a must, and I have broken a couple pinions over the years, but the housings, with a little added beef, offer great clearance, ae strong, and the removable third member is great.

You beefed the hell out of those, nice job!! The toy mini axles seem to be a natural fit under jeeps if the jeep owner can get over himself for a minute cough milcrawl cough

My old homemade crossover steering arm developed a crack from one of the bolt holes, so I went with some Marlin highsteer.
3490
3489
Got a V-6 third for the rear with an ARB. The ARB's have changed in the last 5 years. I like the air line routing on the old one better.

After new gears, and lockers, I upgraded the whole brake system.
Rear caliper brackets.
3494
Rear disks.
3495
Front vented rotors, and IFS calipers.
3496
FJ80 master cylinder.
3497
I am not running front spacers, I ground the calipers, and got a little clearance.

Thanks. I wasn't too crazy about it at first either. I had planned to put a CJ front clip on it, :puke: but it kinda grows on you. I wouldn't dream of putting a CJ front on it now.
