OK well I figure its time to introduce myself officially.
Names Jon, born and raised here. Grew up in Virginia City area but I went to school at Wooster since I didnt want a graduating class of 22:Big Grin:
Raised on Fords and got smart around 98 when I got into Internationals.
5 years active duty Army, 8 years active duty Air Force now I'm finishing up my last 6 years in the Air National Guard weekend warrior style. I met my amazing wife in the millitary and we are happily married but she got out after 8.
I'm a Certified Biomedical Tech and running the Biomedical program at Eastern Plumas Healthcare in Portola CA.
I live in Chilcoot and am know as "That Asshole" or "The Scout guy".
I've built:
78 ScoutII that evolved from 31 to 33s to 35s to 36 over the years.
72 Travelall on 35s with Chevy HD suspension and stuff.
66 Scout resto project
62 Scout SOA POS I wont claim doing the death trap suspension on but I did make 1 out of 2 Scouts out of it. Sold to buy the replacement welder for the one I ran over with it when brakes failed on its first test run(not a proud moment).
And now I'm building a 68 Scout on 38s. ScoutII 4" springs SOA, custom steering 345/T-19/D20 combo from a ScoutII all built on built ScoutII D44s to keep it narrow. I just have to cut/twist/SOA them. This is to get it wheeling I have a D60 rear of perfect width I just need to find a front D60 this summer and then move to 46". O yeah eventually lots of tube/sawzall work.
I'll post a pic tonight of it with engine/tranny/t-case in. No steering or suspension work yet(starting that tonight, may have the rear SOA tomorrow).
So thats me. I dig having a few  with peeps and wheeling. If you brake down in my area come by. I've welded up camptrailers, trucks and trailers for other people before :Big Grin: I'm the yellow house behind the Post Office by the Frenchman's Lake turn off.
Thanks for having me and I think I'll be at Lumpalooza this year to meet most of you!
