Summitt Winch

So I bought the Summitt 9000# winch, which I have discovered is made by T-Max. The specs are allmost identical to the Warn 9.5 XP. It seems to be decent quality. Anyone know of problems with these winches, failures, longevity?

I just bought the 10K. T-max has had very good reviews. T-max and Mile-Marker winches have 90% of the same parts, and come from the same manufacturer. With the exception that T-max uses a better bearings style system than just a cheap bushing system like MM does.

I paid $449.00. The 10,000# is basically the same winch with a lower gear ratio. I got it all mounted up, and cant wait to see if it's going to hold up.

You buy your mount or make one? I havent decided between having it just on the Scout or able to switch to my 05 2500 also.

Update. After several uses, I am happy with this winch. Decent speed, super strong, no problems yet.

I agree, I have a MM 9# that hasn't let me down yet. I've upgrade to Master-Pull synthetic line, other than that it cooks (rather slowly :wink:)
