I got the motor from a guy in victorville cali. he goes to junkyards and gets the best engines and trannys and makes a living that way. This motor is from a 2005 silvarado with only 18K and the tranny is from another silvarado with only 13k on it..if you want his number let me know...his prices are right too.

The I6 is for sale...The engine and tranny cost about 2500 then adapters cost another 1500 (t-case adapter, new radiator, motor mounts, tranny mounts, new t-casey shifter)..i am using the stock harness ( modified a bit )

most people use the stock jeep pump tp feed an external, but Im using a rci cell, so i just used a single msd external pump(its the same one riebes sells for a ford with a 460 tbi) and it works pretty well.... a little loud tho. summit sells them for about 75 bucks, but for you i would reccommend something a little bit bigger and better...

how long have you been a member.. i think you have to wait 24 hours to do anything on there. also you have to be a paying member to be able to use the search function.

I pulled the engine tranny and t-case today then it started raining again. so i went in the garage to start pulling apart the 4l60e to put in the new output shaft.....then i noticed the new output shaft from novak looked like it had been droped because the tone ring for the speed sensor has a chunk out of it and the little teeth are like bulging on one edge...so i have to call them tomorrow. oh well...

Casey4x4
August 29th, 2007, 11:51 PM
went to put in the new output shaft and SH*T...it dosn't fit...guess i have to call novak again...

I am having trouble figuring out how to run my speedo. There is the VSS that is in the tailshaft of the transmission which goes into the PCM...do i just tie into that somehow? or is there an ouput on the PCM that runs the speedo? cant find a diagram of the two conectors that go to the pcm..one is green and one is blue..is a 2005 5.3L...if anyone has a diagram i would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!!!
ps. It is an autometer speedo

No idea, but I think there is a chip or something you can get for those transmissions to make them non pcm controlled?
