1986 Toyota 4-runner
4.3l Chevy v-6 Just had it custom tuned
4l60E auto tranny
Almost all wiring re-done w/ overkill on protection ( Fuses,Relays,wire size)
Custom 12volt guy panel winch control, dual battery and switches
All new VDO gauges hooked up and work except haven't done the fuel yet
2 Optimas 1 yellow 1 red in custom box mounted flush in back by tailgate
Brand new Alt.
Complete custom Dash and Tunnel

Tube doors
Bobbed bed p/u tailgate

Dual transfer case 2.28 and 4.7
twin stick converted to a Triple stick
Trailgear Skid plate, custom mounted level with the Frame.
Custom Drive Shafts with upgraded u-joints

38.5 Like new Swamper boggers beadlocked
spare 38.5 swamper TSL 12" wide

Dana 60 front (welded) 4.10
full Hydro steering
44044s up front

14 Bolt rear (Welded) 4.10

New disc brake conversion

Uhmm, maybe I'm clueless but 4.10's w/ 38.5's equals :throwup:, even w/ a 4.7 t-case. Even though it's a good 'base' vehicle, with all the 'excepts', how long before it's trail worthy? :Big Grin:

it already is trail worthy.. the 4.10s are not bad at all.. 4.7 case and an auto makes it really slow.

things i need to do:
add some more coolant
reverse the electric fan(pushing now i need it to be pulling)
mount my air tank
put rear seats in(add some seatbelts)


things for the future:
on board air
rock lights
3 link the front
4 link the rear(air shocks maybe)
shave the 14 bolt(obvious:rolleyes:)
rock sliders
windshield(dont know out of what yet)
some kind of top
t-case e-brake
mount the spare tire

I'll look for it on the trail when I move out there in Jul 08. Or maybe it'll be out in early Dec 07? I'll be in Reno then...:cool:

Not trying to bust your chops. The gearing and all seemed a little off to me. It's been a while since I've run an auto (forgot how much it helps). Glad you got a good deal :Big Grin:

i think its right at 134:1 in low low.. and its almost annoying on how you cant go anywhere fast..:rolleyes:

im joking.. its just a step climb that most full body rigs wont try..(me incuded with my jeep) rockape has some good pics of his rig on it. its not hard if you have the right line..(or red label crawlers:rolleyes:)

Oh yea, 4:10's with Dual cases is not too high, I'm sure it would be an absolute dog on the highway but it's a trailer queen.

its mostly the grille. its a little tall for my taste but it seems pretty stable. 88" to the top of the cage and 83" wide. i would like to lower it down a bit this winter.. for now.. im just going to wheel the crap out of it.. and i no longer have the jeep so still have one running wheeling rig and my DD.

Lol, I think yota's are far cheaper to build then jeeps (particularly chericars and TJ/LJ/JKs....

85+ 63" chevys, marlin crawler springs w/high steer front, second t-case for a doubler (106:1 with stock 5spd, stock t-case gears, stock axle gears 4.10:1), extend some driveshafts couple lunchbox lockers or spool/weld, Some trimming, and 37" tires. Wheel it :Big Grin:

on the boggers.. i like them but yet i think they need to break in some more. they were not flexing much at 5psi.. yesterday i droped it to 3.5ish psi and it seemed to help some more and make the tires flex alotbetter i think that when they break in they might be alot better.

Dont be expecting them boggers to ever flex very much...I have had mine for a few years and they still dont flex....just for shits and grins let all the air out and look that they barely sag....but i have never punctured one either.....get your hands on some staun beadlocks and run em at about 2 pounds....

ILL TELL YA I KINDA MISS REAL WHEELING.....SINCE I STARTED COMPETING I HAVENT GOT TO WHEEL AT ALL....NOT EVEN REALLY PRACTICE BECAUSE I MIGHT BREAK MY RIG.......EVERY COMP THIS SEASON MY BUGGY HAD A MAJOR UPGRADE WITH ZERO TIME TO TRY IT OUT BEFORE.....FIRST COMP..LINKED FRONT...SECOND COMP....REAR ARB AND CUTTING BRAKES....THIRD COMP....ALLOY FRONT AXLES...FOURTH COMP SUPER DUPER BLING MACHINED BRANIK MOTORSPORTS FRONT AXLES,BLING U JOINTS AND 10 INCH STEERING RAM...FOR 45 DEGREE PLUS STEERING ANGLE!!!!

SO I HAVE BEEN REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO REGULAR WHEELING THAT DOESNT CONSIST OF A 10 MINUTE TIME LIMIT,AN OBSTACLE THAT I MIGHT BYPASS ON THE TRAIL....AND A SPOTTER STACKING ROCKS!!!!
