Thanksgiving Weekend Run????Anybody???

So since I picked up this 01' dodge diesel, I can tow my shat around without having to borrow family members....

Anyway that is beside the point, I was wondering if anyone was down for a weekend run???

I have only met a select few of you guys anyway, and I only know a few trails. The trail doesn't have to be UB status, but I dont want something I can drive my tow rig across or Connects XJ. Wait, that won't be until 2010....:tongue::67: But if you show up I may give you a ride......

Yeah, my plan is I'm going to Moonrocks Friday for the day, and if i'm just sick of all our house guests for Thanksgiving I may camp friday night. We have other friends that are planning to be out for the whole holiday, but they are running quads and side-x-sides. I plan to just play around in the rocks with my buggy. I think a few from Carson maybe joining as well.

Anyway, I got off the phone with my mother and supposedly we are having thanksgiving in the bay area with relatives. I hate that part of my family too..... Anyway, I'm not 100 percent sure that I will be able to make it because of that. So if I can't I will wanna make a run the week after for sure.....

IT WAS FUN!!!!I STOOD MY BUGGY UP,BUT WAS SAVED FROM A ROLL BY LICK OF THE FRONT TIRE GETTING WEDGED UP AGAINST A ROCK.aFTER SOMEONE PULLING IT OVER AND DRAINING THE BACK CYLINDER OF OIL IT WAS BACK TO WHEELING!!!!ON THE UPSIDE I DID GET THE RIGHT V CRACK ON THE FIRST TRY!!!(HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO DO THAT SINCE THE SHAFFER CHALLENGE!!!!

I had a good time out there yesterday, and it was cool to meet a few new people. I woke up this morning and it took me a little while to figure out why my neck was sore. I guess I was wheelin' kinda hard yesterday.:Big Grin: It would have been cool if we could have wheeled with the Trent Fab guys. I saw them pull in at like 12:30, and never saw them again.

Jesse, you should have seen how hard your head was thrown back each time your diff would hit that rock. your helmet would go all the back exposing your forhead. AND, yes, Jesse was pulling some crazy lines. I'll blaim it on my old school swampers that don't have any traction, but even then, i'm a pussy, i still don't know if i would have tried some of those.

I went up the hill late after loading up to meet up with Derric and Tom. Sam (Samco Fab) was up there helping them dial in their shocks for the upcomming "King of the Hammers." I rode with Tom after the final valve adjustments, AND let me say, "HOLY SHIT!!!!" These guys are going to the next level. Not only are the CRAZY crawlers, but now they are tunning the rigs for HIGH SPEED. I think we were hitting those ATV Whoops at about 50mph. I think the rear-end tried to pass us atleast a dozen times. And with the weight of their buggies, those front-ends are taking some abuse for sure.

Tom and I spent the day in high range running the woops. Sam from Samco Fabrication was helping us tune in our shocks. A big thanks to Sam that guy knows a lot about shocks and what changes to make.

It would have been cool to do some filming with Pat but it took all day to make the shock changes.
