I recently welded in my tube adapters in my drag link, and the one thing i was affraid of happening, happened. I was hoping that the heat wouldn't distort the threads but it ended up shrinking the tube adapters a little bit and now i can't thread in my tie-rod ends all the way. I was thinking the best way to fix this would be to chase the threads. So does anyone have a 7/8" 18 tpi tap left and right hand thread that i could borrow for a few minutes minutes? I just need to chase the threads, and i was hoping someone locally would let me borrow their taps or would know where i could use a set for a very short period of time (for an enexpensive rate, since i'm trying to manage my college budget, lol). I will be up in reno all day tomorrow, and would be willing to buy someone a 6 pack ( coke, beer, or whatever) if they let me use their taps. I appreciate the help.
