Folks,
I'll be in Reno soon and have the weekend of 9-10 February available. Are there any RockGod runs going on?

hahaha dont listen to jeeper he is a young buck that hasnt even gotten any hair yet so he is upset that we always make him dressup as the rockgods mascot and is just trying to pass the job along to you....Moonrocks sounds fun. Going to see about a new radiator today and then maybe get my rig to LD house so he can build me a proper radiator support...oh yeah Forgot to ask him...LD can you help build me a proper radiator support? I got the tube and the time just not a lot of money....

How about a Bronco Canyon (lower section for fun, then play around in the upper section, but don't go all the way through). With the snow and water we've been getting, the lower section could be interesting.
i'm just really getting tired of moon rocks - it's just a punch of hill climbs (and i don't have stickies, YET!)

as much as i'd love to jump on the new Interco direct deal regarding the 37 and 42 irok stickies, i think i'm going to wait and keep an i on their actual performance. i'm a little concerned with "bead burbing", side wall gashing, and lug chunking as some have mentioned. plus to trade up requires new 17" wheels, not to mention an extra $4k in the check book.

It seemed that alot of the air burping was on the 39.5" iroks, as well as the chunking. The 42"ers don't wear well, but who expects them too?
The 42" stickies seemed to be an ok deal seeing as they are the only 42" sticky available. The 37" sticky is going to be in the TRXus tread BTW. I'm still on the fence about going to 42's, I'd love to find a nice set of 39" red labels instead for my project.

I WOULD BE GOOD FOR THIS RUN BUT I WOULD ENTER FROM THE VIRGINIA CITY SIDE.....THE DRIVE FROM LOCKWOOD IS TOO LONG FOR ANYTHING I WHEEL!!!I THINK I WILL BRING THE TWO SEATER SINCE IT IS THE MOST BRONCO CANYON READY!!!

I would do the same. The last time I went we went from VC and even for the lower section, it is WAY FASTER. About 15 minutes and you are there.
do ya want to make Bronco a "tentative" for February? Sounds good to me. I think for a "run" it should be more like a "trail" than just a play ground like moonrocks.

Even if it's not the 'official' February run I'd still like the chance to right-seat for someone. Doesn't have to be 20 rigs, I won't remember everyone's name anyway

the 9th sounds good to me. then we have a day to recover and lick our wounds.
Robicon,
i'll probably have a seat. My kid rc crawls, but he's a puss to do the real thing, so he's been staying home.

like i said, if this weather keeps up the lower could be interesting, especially the several creek crossings, mud, water, etc. they had some other problems, but IT WILL BE INTERSTING no doubt!

depending on the weather, dropping in from the top, might not be a bad idea. We'll go low, then turn around and go high!

Unfortunately, :frown: the trip bringing me to Reno was canceled!!! It's hard to teach proper side-slope technique in two foot of snow
So.... Enjoy your outing 9/10 Feb, I'll hook up with ya'll soon as I can!

Well, looks like they scheduled the next RC Crawler comp for Feb 9th (the same day) at Moonrocks. My son has really been looking forward to the next comp (now that he is an experienced NOVICE).
SO; since it looks like a limited number of us (only 2 confirmed, including myself) anyhow, ya'all (Jeremy) want to just go to Moonrocks like originally mentioned and "kill 2 birds with 1 stone" ? ? ?
As much as i'd like to do SOMETHING else, i'm not looking forward to MUD, and we can play around while the "kids" are RC crawlin' it.
