But I know my limits, and I know I have no business trying anything above the traditional exit - and I have taken this rig through lower Bronco multiple times without issue.

If the weather is nice, I would like to show up, play around in the lower section, then maybe park and walk or catch a ride for the big stuff.

Actually I was on Rubicon last September with no top on the 40. Freezing rain and snow the whole trip, it wasn't that bad until I was driving home over Mt Rose at 50mph with snow blowing in the cab. I don't think I'll do that again.

I've done the mud thing topless too, and it sucks even worse than snow. No shame in avoiding that kind of misery.

No it just sits in the driveway with the armor-alled tires, and wheels the mall parking lot! It's not the best rock crawler with open diffs stock gears and no armor! Maybe that's why the rockers are fawked, gas tank is dented in, and I've replaced the steering linkage on it!

I think the most hardcore it's seen has been half way up twister, see shit talking fest here!

Agreed! I've been searchin alot on there and seems they are all the same...Only thing that wakes me up everynow and then is the little things.

The truely innovative builds out there, hydro dynamics, lo-budget pimpin, teenycar, teenycar's fawking sexy TJ on 40's, bling mog'd 9", 500+ horsepower rigs, they are what keeps the sport interesting. One of the main reasons I'm building an XJ over a TJ/YJ, using Superduty axles, because it's just a little bit more unique. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have a frame, and bolt in 4-link kits, but I'd be another one out of a dozen.

i wheel my rig plenty.. i did not take it up there because 1.) i need a new alt.(and did not have enough money to buy a new one at the time) 2.) i have never been up there and would rather see what im going to get into before i jump in head first 3.) its not worth me trailering my rig all the way there to drive 4-500 yards on lower bronco, then park it to walk the upper(i did not want to bring my rig to upper until i had seen it and now i want to change it before the next trip.)

Why do you assume that because we are working on our junk that we are incapable of building them? Or that we prefer to ride bitch? Not to mention we both have "rigs" that we chose not to bring for various reasons.

Everyones shit gets built, some peoples at a slower pace than another. In the mean time instead of sitting around and web wheeling, crying about "OH I'd be there but my shit is broken/not finished...." we are actually out wheeling?

Not to mention if my rig was done and I had brought it to the trail, and it was plenty capable of running the trail, I more then likely would have wheeled said trail. ya ive been in the dog house with a few fellow rockgods admins.....for the fact i havent been on the trails...comes down to this i got less than 5 grand in my rig including purchase price so that means my shit breaks more and Im now single after nine years....hmmmm rockcrawling is great but new puss.....you make the choice...if the new doc takes away some hardcore points...well i deserve it! But i have been having fun getting deductions! And untill I became part of the rockgods my biggest jeep ran 35" swampers on stock axles with loc rights and 4.10 gears and i never had a problem so run what you brung and we always we make sure you get home!!!!

ya ive been in the dog house with a few fellow rockgods admins.....for the fact i havent been on the trails...comes down to this i got less than 5 grand in my rig including purchase price so that means my shit breaks more and Im now single after nine years....hmmmm rockcrawling is great but new puss.....you make the choice...if the new doc takes away some hardcore points...well i deserve it! But i have been having fun getting deductions! And untill I became part of the rockgods my biggest jeep ran 35" swampers on stock axles with loc rights and 4.10 gears and i never had a problem so run what you brung and we always we make sure you get home!!!!
