SOUNDS LIKE A COOL PROJECT...

I HAVE TWO RIGS WITH 99 VORTEC 4.3s IN THEM AND IT IS A GREAT ENGINE!!!ONE HAS A HOWELL HARNESS(THATS WHO I WOULD RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY ONE....).THE OTHER ONE I HAD A FACTORY HARNESS MODIFIED BY A PLACE IN TEXAS(CANT REMEMBER THEIR NAME...)BOTH OF THEM USE THE 1996-1997 ECU BECAUSE THE 98-UP HAVE THE VATs(ANTI-THEFT)THAT I WAS TOLD CANNOT BE PROGRAMMED OUT!!!

THE TOY TRUCK THAT HAS THE HOWELL HARNESS,THE COMPUTER WAS REFLASHED TO NOT NEED ANY EMISSIONS BY FAST CHIPS AND IT RUN VERY WELL!!!!(HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR YOU ECU REFLASH!!!!

WELCOME TO TRG.COM!!!

I am live in Dayton, but the runner is in moundhouse at my parents. The question I have about the harness/wiring is I bought the setup complete out of another toyota and I have to finish up the wiring, I was trying to use the stock gauges, how do I intergrate the systems? or should I just use some aftermarket gauges? thanks

Welcome to TRG. You found a good place to get your questions answered. Sounds like you got a good plan for your build. Go aftermarket gauges. Less headache in the long run.

LOOKS LIKE A GREAT START!!!WHAT RADIATOR ARE YOU RUNNING??

AND UNLESS YOU CAN GET THE TOYOTA OIL PRESSURE AND WATER TEMP SENSORS IN THE CHEVY BLOCK MAKING YOUR FACTORY GAUGES WORK WITH THEM MIGHT BE A CHALLENGE!!!I WILL BE RESEARCHING THIS EXACT SAME THING EVENTUALLY FOR MY TOY PROJECT....

DO YOU STILL HAVE THE FRONT BUMPER/VALIENCE YOU ARENT GONNA USE???I NEED ONE OF THOSE TOO!!!

I am running the V6 rad and had the input moved to the other side and cleaned out. I'll have to check on the bumper, my dad did some yard cleaning.
