DOC, my scooter is 8'4" long, and sits low to the ground (i'm short, getoverit) if i put a snorkal on it (both carbs) will it go faster ? how deep of water can i ride it threw ? and will it save my engine from getting this damnd desert dust in it ? (inset joe dirt biker smilie here)

You may be short but it sound like you have a long Scooter. Chicks dig that. You would need a Helmet-Snorkle (you do were a helmet?) so you can ride no matter how wet it gets. Oh helmet snorkles only come in purple. :Big Grin:

I was kinda surprised when I saw the thread was closed.
I'd like to do the Gerlach to double hot springs test. It sounded like it might actually prove something.

I think the gerlach test should be done as well
Then maybe a poll around town as to how many people (with snorkels) use them for the benifits of a cleaner air filter, and how many of them got them for water crossings......that they will never do.

No I don't feel threatened. Forums are like bars, you don't act the same in the local family pizza joint as you do in the construction workers bar. It's just about being respectful. Since I grew up in a blue collar family and worked construction for many years I have no problem with language or whatever. But I keep it in it's place.

As far as snorkels go I really don't care about the guys that have them for looks. Any more than I do the asshats with big fucking stingers on their Barbie Edition Wranglers. All I care about is if a snorkel will be of use to me.
