This sucks ass!!! As many of you know i have a 01 ford powerstoke 6 speed manuel. Well the other day i was leaving work and i new i was a little low on diesel and i was gonna stop and get some. The fuel light wasnt even on yet well needless to say i ran out of fuel on the freeway at 4:30pm:mad: I have a tank in the back of my truck to fill my tractors so i pulled the cap of my fuel filter and primed it and put like 5 gallons in the truck. on my way home i kept smelling diesel so i pulled over and the o ring on the filter was leaking no big deal so i thought well the diesel made its way to the back of the motor and ran in between the tranny and the motor and now my clutch is slipping and wont go away!! rockape just put a clutch in my truck 8 months ago and there is only like 8 thousand miles on the clutch. I have talked to two different tranny shops and they said i am screwed i gotta buy a new clutch:mad:

hey dunk you don't need to take off the fuel filter cap... it has an inline 12v pump an it will start farely easy by cranking it over.. it will run a little funny for a few but clears up pretty quick..:Big Grin: trust me i ran out before in my 02 service truck

The drain on the fuel/water seperator can fawk you too. The drain valve should replaced periodically. otherwise it will start pissing fuel when the truck is running and ending up in the same place. Clutch has never been cleaner though!:Big Grin:

X2 on not having to fill the filter bowl. cycle the glow plugs a few times and the pump should fill er' up. It wont want to stert right away, but she'll fire in a minute or two.
