Okay so the jeep was running fine and I parked it and went out a few days later battery was dead...my little one had turned the key on...no big deal I figured. Charged battery and no start. No spark, no fuel....so I replaced the computer and it got spark no fuel...replaced the injectors and it started but running like crap. I looked in tbi and only one injector firing...so i swapped wiring and the other injector started firing...Cant figure out why Im getting power to only one injector..Can it be possible this computer isnt any good? Anyone know what kind of voltage needs to be going to the injectors?

what year tbi?
you should see a ground on the green and blue wires from the computer white and red should have a constant +12v when the ignition is on. Oil pressure turns on the fuel pump!

Oh for those that havent followed the buildup this isnt a jeep motor but a dodge dakota motor. 3.9l v-6 from a 1991. I will check to make sure I have voltage...maybe the coumputer was just no bueno.....

So does anyone have a way to look up computers and see which ones will work for different vehicles? I have been told 89 and down are one style(no tbi)..90 is its own and like 91 and 92 are the same and in 93 they went to actual fuel injection....i have a five speed but have heard automatic ones work on 5 speeds too....was gonna head down to pick and pull but wanted to get more info first...tired of seeing jeep sitting in driveway looking said since everything else is done...:Big Grin:

And thanks Werty for the info.

Its got fuel, I ran some diagnotstics and it looks like the computer is bad. One injector sparys fine the other nothing..if I swap the caps around then the other injector sprays...so I am going to PNP to see if they have another comp cause I dont really want to spen 180 on a new one...especially since I dont know what caused the old one to go bad.

Seems as if the computer is a different year so the posts are the same...Once i finish trimming all the wiring down to only neccassary wires i plan to get a new computer that is correct for the harness I have. Thanks dodge for making three different computers for 1989, 1999 and 1991!
