So I have read many articles over the years on this, but never really paid attention because Im not a GM guy,

well Im trying to put TBI on the FJ40 project, it has a low milage, 4 bolt 350 from a 70's El Camino, currently has a 4 bbl Qjet, and a new HEI dist.

so when I was lookig at PNP, there seems to be many of styles of TBI on 350s, so what do I really need to get this done with stock GM parts, is there an ideal year of GM I should be looking at as a donor, and will I need to swap out the Manifold or is there an adapter?

Looking for people who have actually done this or know something about it, so basically SV, there is no reason for you to post in this thread, but i bet you do anyway

I HAVE DONE IT BUT NOT WITH SCAVENGED PARTS.....I KNOW YOU PRETTY MUCH WANNA MAKE SURE IT CAME OFF OF A 350 AS THE 305 HAS SMALLER INJECTORS.....YOU WILL NEED THE THROTTLE BODY,COOLANT TEMP AND MAP SENSOR,THE PCM (7747 IS THE BEST ONE FROM WHAT I HAVE READ...)I THINK THE AIRTEX E-2001 IS A LOW PRESSURE EXTERNAL PUMP FOR THIS SYSTEM.....

AND AS FAR AS THE HARNESS GOES I WOULD JUST BUY ONE FROM THIS GUY.....PROBABLY MIGHT THINK ABOUT USING HIS CHIP TOO!!!

YOU MIGHT WANT TO GET THE DISTRIBUTER FROM THE DONOR ENGINE TOO....AS THE COMPUTER CONTROLLED TIMING IS BETTER FOR A smooth running efi...

I THINK IF YOU GET EVERYTHING FROM THE SAME ENGINE YOU WILL BE OK

IF YOU WANNA GIVE THE HARNESS A TRY YOURSELF I DO HAVE A 1991 GM CAB/CHASSIS BOOK THAT SHOWS YOU EVERYTHING....
