I inquired about a snow report on PBB, and apparently you can't even make the staging area from the tahoe side!!!!

Also, people were wheeling into granite bowl and walking to little sluice:eek:

We're still about 3 weeks out from this trip, but it sounds like a lot of snow has to melt before we can get into the springs.

I went with Randy from granite for my first time last year and I thought he was just screwing with us that he made it through with a stock rubicon and all it had was a tummy tucker and a winch. I've never seen so many rock's brutalized and scraped :Big Grin: but he made it the whole way

I thought they were leaving on the 6-8th though?

THIS IS FUNNY SINCE I INSTALLED THE TUMMY TUCKER,ENGINE SKID AND HIS NEW LIFT AND 35s!!!!AND THEY ARE GOING IN THE 6-8TH....I TOLD THEM I MIGHT TAKE THE TRUGGY AND MEET THEM ON SATURDAY,THEN ROLL OUT ON SUNDAY!!!!

We went in tuesday afternoon and it was pooring rain. Lots of water on the trail and nobody else up there. We got into the springs and colonel mustard couldnt keep it on all fours, b2 blew a line out of the oribatal and I was having a some starting issues. So we made camp at the springs and chilled. Got the rigs running next morning and drove out in the snow and rain.

I blew my engine up on the way down i-80. Oil pan looks like it got shot with a bazooka.:pissed2:

Neither of us have a running engine so wouldnt work. BTW, I know you got that bottom end of a 360 sitting around. Probably gonna want to wheel and deal with you on that.

well u'll get to see my old jeep then, one of my drivers Jeff bought it, and him and Dohboy are taking it through with Randy.

Engine was replaced about a year and a half ago. Wasnt new by any means. Pulled it from a wrecked wagoneer and threw it in the heep. Plan on doing that again. Already have all the fluids drained and everything disconnected so I can pull the engine out.

Wix/Poor Boy, does either of the engines run? I've seen Chris's wagoneer but not sure the condition of the motor. Looked like some forest creatures were living in it:gapteeth:

No I meant a long or short block 360. If your heads and stuff are still good a short block might be the way to go
