THE ONE WITH THE HEIMS WILL HAVE A LITTLE LESS OF THE INHERANT BIND THAT SET-UP HAS.....BOTH ARE STILL CONSIDERED A RADIUS ARM SET-UP....

YEAH THE SINGLE SIDE MAKES IT BETTER BUT THERE STILL IS A SLIGHT BIND...I DOUBT YOULL NOTICE!!

THAT IS PROBABLY THE EASIEST FRONT LINK SET-UP TO BUILD AND FIT...PLUS THERE ARE ALOT OF KITS YOU CAN BORROW THE LINK PLACEMENT FROM AND NOT HAVE ALOT OF FIGURING IN TO MAKE WORK.

I THINK THE TWO HEIMS WOULD OFFER A LITTLE EXTRA GIVE OVER A WELDED TUBE AND A HEIM....

what do you think about this statment?

I voted #2 but with an exception.
Reason for number two is that you can make castor adjustible (which will change the angle of the inside triangle). I would not use hiems on the upper "short" arm though. Use bushings on both sides like the RE arms. We do this because the bushing will absorb the twist or "bind" of the axle in motion. The first year or so of long arms RE used hiems and saw that people were twisting axle tubes in the D30. Since using bushing, this problem has be eliminated.
On front "RE style radius arms", use one flex style joint at the frame and bushings at the three other mounting points.

I have never understood why everyone uses heim's or joints on the axle end with that style. To me it looks like they would do just fine with poly bushings and less money.

SINCE I HAVE NEVER BUILT ONE OF THESE,ILL JUST GIVE MY THOUGHTS ON WHY IF I DID I WOULD USE HEIMS...

BUSHINGS GIVE AND WILL ALLOW THE AXLE TO ROTATE UNDER POWER.....POSSIBLY LOSING TRACTION OR BREAKING PARTS FROM THE SHOCK CAUSED BY THE MOVEMENT.IM SURE PART OF THE REASON RE DOES WHAT THEY DO IT TO KEEP THE ROAD NOISE DOWN......EVER RIDDEN IN A FULL HEIM JOINTED RIG ON THE STREET???THEY CAN BE KINDA NOISEY....

IM SURE EITHER ONE WILL WORK,BUT SINCE MINE RIDES ON A TRAILER AND NEVER ON THE STREET ILL KEEP USING HEIMS!!!

ya they can be alittle noisy but you cant hear them most of the time because of the tires! i already have all the hiems bought so i think im just going to run them the most road it will see is goign to trails and going to work and back which is like 4 miles

Single Wristed Radius Arm w/Panhard.

I'll x2 on using two heims for the upper, left hand and right hand thread.

I wish I did this. I just put threads on one end and welded the other solid. To adust the pinion angle I have to unhook the upper adjust put back and check. It was a pain...

I would probably carry a spare heim or two, because having a single point of failure is the only downside to having one upper on that setup.
