SINCE I USE IT AS MY BUSINESS COMPUTER....WHEN IT GOES DOWN IT FLAT THROWS A MONKEY WRENCH IN THE WHOLE OPERATION.SINCE I WRITE R.Os,PRINT CHECKS,ORDER PARTS AND USE IT FOR THE BUSINESS ACCOUNTING....IM PRETTY MUCH DEAD IN THE WATER WHEN IT BREAKS.

TODAY WHILE LOOKING UP A HONDA SPEC....POOF,BLUE SCREEN POPS UP AND TELLS ME TO RESTART.....THEN I TRY THAT IN SAFE MODE AND STILL SAME BLUE SCREEN.....I SWEAR THE FAWKING THING IS JUST OVER TWO YEARS OLD AND HAS ALREADY HAD THE HARD DRIVE REPLACED ONCE.....ABOUT 8-9 MONTHS AGO!!!!!!:pissed2:

I HOPE "RENO COMPUTER REPAIR" CAN SAVE MY INFORMATION.....AGAIN!!!!

:mad::mad::mad:

You could/should build a pretty kick ass desktop for like $310. Then run the computer with Ubuntu (linux, solid) and a wine emulator for your windows programs. Maybe add another $40 to the price to run dual hard drives in a Raid 1 format (mirror duplicate drives)

That'd be sweeeet :)

no porn at work as I dont wanna have a problem....but I still have more fawking problems with this F-ing lap top than any other computer I have owned.....:mad:

On the upside the laptop is back(posting with it now....)and it only cost me $143 bucks to get a "stick of ram" replaced as it went bad...some how.....:frown:

I just need to figure out how to transfer all my shop info onto my desk top from home or get connect to "build" me a dual-core super-duper one!!!

A usb thumb drive would be the easiest (flash drive) or if your laptop has a cd or dvd burner you could burn the info onto a disk.

The lfash/thumb drive would be the better option. Once youve got everything over to your PC, back it up on a seperate hard drive (ie have more than one HD on your PC).

If that's all your running, ya dont need the bling bling of PCs. If your lookin for something new, go cheap on a case, a moderate processor, RAM, video card, drives (hard and disc), monitor, and printer. I'm not sure (ie dont feel like lookin it up) what the requirements are for that software, but it won't be as nasty as a pure gaming machine.

Or just mod the PC you've got into what ya need. If it already runs that software without a problem, just add another hard drive for backups. Its not that hard to add a hard drive to it as long as its got the extra slot and hookup. Ya dont wanna lose all your info if your single HD dies with your backups on it!
