I put the 60 in the Jeep and have a high 9 out back with 35 spline 5 lug axles. Problem is the lugs no longer match, 8 in the front 5 out back. Running 38.5x15 TSL SX tires and I have a set of H2 rims, would you run the 17" 8 lug rims in the front with new tires and leave the back with 5 lug 15" rims, or would you spend the money and convert the front axle to 5 lug which would be around $550 dollars for new 5 bolt hubs, calipers and rotors to match the rear.
Also do I need to upgrade the stub shafts on the 60.

IF YOU WANT MATCHING RIMS...I WOULD CONVERT IT!!!!BUT YOU KNOW YOU COULD SELL OF THE NINE INCH PUT A 70 REAR IN AND BE $$$ AHEAD!!!!:gapteeth:
AND IF YOUR FRONT 60 HAS 3O SPLINE OUTERS I WOULD SAY TO CONVERT IT,ONLY BECAUSE WHEN A 30 SPLINE OUTER GOES POP....IT USUALLY TAKES OUT THE SPINDLE FOR AN EXTRA $100 DOLLAR UPGRADE!!!

Yea I'm lookin forward to this! Already pricing out new 35 spline Chromo stubs and 35 spline drive slugs for the project!
Can it be done cheaper with junkyard stuff?
Why not get new rear shafts that are 8 lug, new brakes (?) and new wheels? I suppose neither option is cheap though.

I think I would rather keep the bling bling 9 with all the clearance it has over the 70. Also finding someone that is willing to pay that much money for a 9 I think would be very hard.
And I will check with Rock Equipment to see if they have 8 lug axles for the 9, either way it would be about the same price as converting the front to 5 lug.

YEAH YOU WILL HAVE THE ADDED BONUS OF UNIT BEARING CONVERSIONS!!!!I DONT THINK THERE IS A CHEAP JUNK YARD SOLUTION....BUT I COULD BE WRONG I RUN FROM UNIT BEARING AXLES.

YEAH THEN A FRONT 5 LUG CONVERSION IS GONNA BE IN THE CARDS FOR YA.......I HAVE SEEN THEM BUT THEY ARE $$$.AND CONVERTING THE REAR TO A 8 LUG IS PROBABLY GONNA BE JUST AS MUCH BECAUSE YOU ARE GONNA NEED TO DO THE BRAKES ALSO!!!!
