Well its funny you just started this thread, one of my drivers trucks died tonight on the way home and that was the problem. Just a heads up if anyone needs one at night Silverstate International has them and their parts department is open till probably 1030 11pm M-F and I'm not sure on the times Saturdays but the dude hooked it up and only charged us 15 bucks.

Hey Ape I forgot to tell you, the guy at International said that you could run a sensor out of a DT466 (i think that was it) and get 2 degree of advanced timing which would give ya a bit of power, better fuel milage and lower EGT's :neo:

Is this true? I knew about the CPS going bad but hadn't heard about this trick.

Ya but i'm not 100% sure what engine you have to get the sensor from though. The guys at international might know, but it is more expensive than the regular powerstroke one

Is this for all the 7.3 PS engines or is there a difference between the 94-97 & the 98-03?
I run the 6.0 but My brother & dad would love the DT466 unit in there 95 & 96 trucks

Did anyone find out if the DT466 CPS works for both the 94-97 and the 98-03's?
I have a 97......
thanks

JeffI don't think we ever did. I know the other sensor was about 100 bucks more though for only like 2 degree of timing or something. probably not worth it now that the stock sensor was only like 20 bucks or less when I bought it at silver state international.
