(ACTUALLY IT WOULDNT FIT IN MY WIFES BABY HAULER.......)
MY WIFE GOT ME THE STAINLESS 4" SUMMIT EXHAUST FOR MY TOW RIG!!!ILL PROBABLY INSTALL IT NEXT WEEK.....ILL TAKE PICS...EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD TO INSTALL!!!
I ALSO HAD A FRIEND GIVE ME THE BULLY DOG "TRIPLE DOG" CHIP FOR IT , BUT I DOUBT ILL PUT IT ON....THIS THING PULLS GREAT NOW!!!!
IF I REMEMBER ILL GET A SHORT CLIP OF THE STOCK SOUND AND THE NEW SOUND JUST IN CASE YOU ARE THINKING OF UPGRADING!!!!!:gapteeth:

YEAH THE ONLY THING THAT KINDA SUCKS IS THAT IN THE PICTURE IN SUMMITS CATALOG IT SHOWS IT FULLY POLISHED AND WHEN YOU GET IT,IT IS BROWN POOP PIPE LOOKING......:frown: BUT COMES WITH A CHROME TIP!!!!

OK I FINALLY GOT AFTER INSTALLING THIS TODAY.....(PICS UP TONIGHT AS SOON AS I FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THEM OFF OF MY CELL....)
DIDNT TAKE LONG TO GET THE OLD SYSTEM OUT,I PROBABLY SPENT A LITTLE LONGER AS THE INSTRUCTIONS SAID TO CUT IT IN PIECES AND REMOVE,SINCE MY TRUCK WAS ON THE LIFT I JUST REMOVED THE TRANS CROSS MEMBER SO THAT DIDNT HAVE TO HAPPEN.
NOW THE ONLY THINGS THAT FOUGHT ME WERE SOME OF THE SLIP JOINT FITMENTS,THE DOWN TUBE PISSED ME OFF TRYING TO HOLD IT AND GET THE CLAMP ON AT THE SAME TIME TOOK A BIT(EVEN THOUGH THE STOCKERS ARE THE SAME PITA.....).ONCE I GOT IT ON I TIGHTENED IT ALL DOWN AND FINISHED AT THE TURBO....
TOOK IT FOR A DRIVE AND ONCE THE TURBO STARTS TO SPIN IT PICKS UP ALOT FASTER....AS FAR AS THE NOISE.....I CANT TELL MUCH DIFFERENCE,MAYBE SLIGHTLY LOUDER,AND I PUT THE MUFFLER ON THE LOUDER DIRECTION!!!
I THINK IM GONNA AT LEAST TACK WELD ALL THE JOINTS AS I DONT REALLY LIKE THE CRAPPY U-BOLTS.(ANYONE KNOW IF 409 STAILESS CAN JUST BE MIG'D????)
ON A SIDE NOTE-MY BUDDY DROPPED OFF THE BULLY DOG POWER PUP YESTERDAY ALSO.....BUT IM GONNA HOLD OFF ON TRYING IT OUT UNTIL I TOW WITH IT,AND SEE HOW MUCH THE EXHAUST MADE A DIFFERENCE.....
SINCE I CLEANED THE CRAPPY K&N A COUPLE WEEKS BACK IT HAD ALOT LESS TROUBLE PULLING THE DODGE UP THE HILL TO MY HOUSE...IT USED TO DROP BACK TO THIRD TO MAINTAIN 65 MPH......LAST TIME IT NEVER CAME OUT OF OD.SO IM CURIOUS TO SEE HOW IT DOES NOW WITH THE EXHAUST THEN MAYBE THE PROGRAMMER(I MIGHT JUST SELL IT THE PROGRAMMER...)
OVERALL A GOOD EXHAUST KIT FOR THE $$$....:cool:

I thought with stainless you are suposed to use shielding gas on both sides of the weld or it would get brittle and crack?
I didn't know your kit had the downpipe too, my buddy back in the day put one on his 97 powerstroke and it made a huge difference in spool up time and heat for him too

YEAH IT IS A FULL EXHAUST SYSTEM TURBO BACK....I LAID THE STOCK DOWN PIPE AND NEW ONE NEXT TO EACH OTHER AND AS SOON AS I CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET MY PICS OFF OF MY NEW CELL,ILL POST AND SHOW IT IS A BIG DIFFERENCE IN TUBE SIZE AND FREE FLOWING BENDS.
AND SINCE A MAGNET STICKS TO 409 STAINLESS I THINK IM GONNA TRY A FEW SMALL TACK WELDS.....

OK SO MY FIRST DRIVING IMPRESSION WAS QUICKER SPOOL UP FROM THE TURBO.....
BUT THE FIRST RIG I TOWED WITH IT WAS THE DODGE UP TO BOCA LAST SATURDAY AFTERNOON....
AND FOR PULLING 9-10K THAT TRUCK FLAT KICKS ASS!!!!WITH THE CRUISE SET AT 65MPH,DODGE AND MY STEEL DECK TRAILER IN TOW....IT ONLY CAME OUT OF OVER DRIVE ONCE!!!!
I THINK IM NOT GONNA BOTHER WITH THE PROGRAMMER....IM REALLY HAPPY WITH THIS TRUCK AS IT IS NOW....INTAKE AND EXHAUST ARE ITS ONLY MODS!!!
PLUS I SEEMED TO HAVE PICKED UP A SOLID 1.5 MPG.......:cool:

AND THATS MY MAIN CONCERN!!!I SERVICED THE TRANS NOT TOO LONG AGO AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT HAD JUST BEEN DONE,BUT I DID IT ANYWAYS!!!THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN HIGHLY SERVICED....
ILL KEEP THE PROGRAMMER AROUND BUT IF IM TOWING ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE DODGE IM NOT SURE I NEED ANY MORE POWER AT ALL!!!!
