After some long discussions with Rockape and Big Blue we have come up with a plan on getting TheRockGods.com name out there.

So this is the official announcement that TheRockGods.com will be looking to sponsor a rockcrawling team in competitions for the 2009 season.

If you would like to be considered please Pm Rockape,myself or Big Blue with past perfomances,a short explaination on why we should pick you and how you would help us gain members and traffic to this site.

If you're gonna spend some money and want to promote the site, you should seek the BEST person to represent the site and promote it for the good of TRG. and, that more than likely would require you go to them, not them comming to you. do you think robbie gordon went to redbull, or redbull went to robbie gordon? my guess would be the later!

if you have a product that is UNKNOWN (which is the case here), no one is going to come to you. they don't even know your product or company exists.

YES, most sports teams seek out sponsorships. From a business standpoint (which i do know as a manufacturer) look at situations of what most would call "endorsements." Do you think Tiger Woods went to Buick looking for a sponsorship? Why do celebrities endorse all kinds of products? companies want to sell their somewhat unknown products, and from a marketing standpoint, companies seek out the person they feel is best suited to SELL their product.

like is said, i see both sides of the point. i'm simply arguing the "business" side of it from the point of selling a product, which is basically the case here. why make an offer and be forced to choose a winner from a very select (and small) list, when the BEST person to "sell" your product may not even know about it.
