I HAVE DECIDED THAT I REALLY NEED ONE OF THESE AT MY HOME SHOP......
ANYBODY GOT A RECOMMENDATION??
I HAVE SEEN THE ONES AT SEARS AND THINK THAT MAY END UP BEING WHAT I MIGHT GET BUT FIGURED I WOULD ASK IF SOMEONE BOUGHT A GOOD BRAND I HAVENT SEEN...

Was at Trouts shop the other day and he had a porta band in a vise:Big Grin: I want one of these also. If you get one get one with a blade welder so you can make inside cuts.

Ya they make the braket to mount a portaband to a vise and clamp the triger to a pedal on the floor and you can un-bolt it and still use it as a regular portaband their should be a right up on pirate about them

try Apex Saw for a quote. They have nic stuff but kinsa pricey to me. I have the milwaukee portable band saw and use it all the time. I've used it in the field w/ an inverter as well. i got the milwaukee adapter plate for the saw and now its nicely mounted up for clean 90 degree cuts. working on a 45 degree jig to add in place when needed. added some water pipe legs and she offers reliable, consistent cuts. easy to dismount for portable operation. But RA, for ur needs, go w/ something like in ur link or similar.

x2 on apex. We bought our Jet band saw from them and its been a reliable saw and seen a ton of use.
