I just run AV-gas in mine. 120 octane gives it an extra HP:Big Grin:

How does that work?
I thought high octane just meant it wouldn't pre-ignite in high compression engines causing pinging?

when i was a kid my dad's best friend owned a machine shop, they took a Sears 12 horse tractor & bored out the block for the biggest possible piston & decked the block , it was like a 23 horse when they were done with it

There is a centrifugal governor that limits the RPM on mowers. When I was a kid it broke on the mower we had. You had to be careful not to give it to much gas.
We called it El Chompo because it would eat anything that you ran it over. :gapteeth:

It would also fling dog shit at near sonic speeds.
