Heres a shop floor we are currently working on. Pretty Cool shop! Speed technoligies. Just started the main work floor monday. We got the dyno room done a couple of weeks ago but its hard to get a good picture. Here's were we are at now.

Far right is the floor when we get it.
The middle is after the shot blasting (which is done by wegojeepn)
The left is the prime coat.

Also all saw cuts are filled with epoxy then once cured scraped flush with a razor blade.

Pretty spendy for a floor like this. Ive been pricing building me a new shop and I could pretty much build me a decent shop/garage for the price of this floor. But this aint the paint you buy at home depot.
Shitty thing is I do these floors for a living and my own floor looks like hell. There's Quite a big range in prices depending on what you want. Talk to me about next time I see ya.

Then we put more epoxy with a mixture of colored quartz picked by the owner.

Tomarrow we will clean off all the excess quartz then start to make it shine with some clear uv/high chem resistant epoxy. I got a key to the joint and will be there all by myself
Heres the dyno room (finished)

We are going to put the clear coat on pretty heavy, and we are putting on 2 coats so we dont get that. But yeah usually its too gritty for a shop.

Still over there working on this floor. In total I think the race shop is just over 6000sq ft. The other half is where Exotic Engines builds engines and we still have to some more floor on that side as well.
Heres half of the floor finished. Will be working on finishing up the other half this weekend then we will start doing the floor on the other side where they build the motors.

Cool stuff, I did the epoxy floor coat in my shop in Vegas. Man It was alot bigger job than I expected. If I every need another now I know who to call. :Big Grin: I remember right, the material cost was about 2k for a 3000 sq ft shop.

Thats pretty cheap. We are using 3 clear coats. The 1st 2 coats are about $84/gallon, the final clear coat is about $96/gallon. Total to do the 3 clear coats it will cost a little over $2 sq/ft just for material. The base coats and primer are pretty cheap though. I think total material is about $3.00 sq/ft.
Personally I think this floor is overkill but its what they wanted. If I were to do one on my floor I would go with what I did on Mark's floor, (epoxy primer, a couple of epoxy solid color coats and a final clear coat of chemical resitive urethane).
Its pretty easy to do it yourself but its also alot easier to F it up by yourself. I think alot of people go wrong on the prep. and the kind of epoxies they use. I have 48 hours of prep (not including bead blasing) into a 2000 sq/ft area on this floor.

DAMN....NOW THATS AN IMPRESSIVE SET UP!!!!
WHEN I DID MY SHOP IN TOWN.....I PAID $1200 FOR MATERIALS AND IT TOOK 2 OF US CLOSE TO A WEEK......AND IT WAS JUST A TWO PART EPOXY WITH TWO COATS........
IT HAS HELD UP REASONABLE WELL AND ONLY HAS HAD ISSUES STAYING DOWN WHERE THEY HAD POURED NEW CONCRETE THAT OBVIOUSLY HAD NOT FULLY CURED BEFORE I COATED IT......:frown:
