GOOD LUCK!!!!THEY HAVE A BAD TASTE IN THEIR MOUTH FROM A CERTAIN EVENT/PROMOTER.......

THEY WILL GIVE THEM TO MOTORCYCLE EVENTS THAT COVER 100X THE AREA A CRAWL WOULD AND WE GET THE SHORT END OF THE STICK!!!

I HAVE THE INSIDE TRACK TO THIS INFO AND PRETTY MUCH BELIEVE A PERMITTED EVENT IS A LOST CAUSE WITH THE NEVADA BLM......

Well just got off the phone with the BLM. He was a very nice guy and very informative. We can get a permit for out there. Since we arnt putting on a actual sponsored event but rather a group get together the paperwork is less. Downside is that they have 180 day time frame from when we submit applications. So earliest would be in October. Sounds good to me. At the same time I will fill out paperwork for next year. This isnt any sort of comp but I would like to get everyone together for a big bbq and wheel session. He said they do have a ranger that is paroling that area now (which I say is good cause I dont like Moonrocks gettin jacked by other groups and we get the blame)so they will be looking for large groups. I think if we keep it low keyed and responisible and it doesnt turn into another Rockape/Shaffer everyone from Nothern Nevada at the Moonrocks day we should be okay. Once I get the actual paperwork and see what is allowed and discuss it with Rockape and Frank I will make an official announcement.

I hope it works out. Glitter Gulch gambol got the BLM axe to the throat last year. It was the second oldest TLCA event in the country, Rubithon is the oldest. Suddenly BLM needed environmental impact studies on mining roads that had been in use for 100 years. The So Nev LC club couldn't afford to do the study and hold the event so they canceled.
