I need a tow rig. Nothing craxy special, just a good truck. I'm not a diesel guy AT ALL!!!!

Looking at a 92 Dodge reg cab 4x4 with 146K on it. It is a 1 owner, an old farmer here in Fallon. It's in really good shape for its age, no dings or dents. Nice buckets with a center seat also. It's an automatic, seems to shift really strong, fires right up.

Somebody talk to me about these things and what I need to look for on them.....

Old diesels don't make power like new diesels, I'm pretty sure it would tow better than a tahoe but it's no modern diesel. The good news is those can make some real good power (if it wasn't in front of a automatic!)

The Tahoe would work fine unless you somehow build a 2-ton crawler...besides since you said the truck is a regular cab, I would let it go. Now that everything is all cleared up get back to work on your rig.

I wish I could take 6 months off work, I could get a ton more done!!

The only thing about that Yukon, is it's rear coil sprung and it's hella soft with a car hauler behind it.....but it'll cut for the time being.

The ones that go inside the coils are pretty cheap...I had them in my old TJ to level it back out to stop the drivline vib when you loaded up all your camping shit for a long trip, not made for a ton of wieght but might help firm it up a bit.

sell the tahoe and buy a tow rig that can haul the family too. Diesels are cheap and so is fuel!

The Yukon is the wifeys rig, not mine......I just pay for the damn thing. I can't blame her for not wanting to drive a diesel every day....
