SINCE THIS IS ABOUT THESE TIRES GOING ON A TOW RIG, FIGURED I'D PUT IT HERE.

MY DAD IS WANTING A NEW SET OF TIRES FOR HIS TOW RIG, IT'S A 2004 3/4 TON YUKON XL 4X4. IT'S USED FOR HAULING HIS 28 FT RACECARE TRAILER WITH THE DRAG CAR, AND FOR HUNTING, ETC. HE HAS HAD 2 SETS OF MICHELIN A/T'S AND WANTS SOMETHING MORE AGGRESIVE FOR NEXT YEARS HUNTING SEASON. I HAVE SEEN A TON OF THESE TIRES ON SMALLER RIGS(TOYOTAS AND JEEPS, ETC.), BUT ONLY A FEW ON BIGGER 3/4 AND 1 TON TOW TYPE RIGS. I HAVE READ SOME REVIEWS HERE AND THERE, BUT THE MAJORITY OF THEM ARE ANGLED TOWARD THE SMALLER RIGS.....SOOOOO,

ANYBODY GOT ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE TIRES ON A BIGGER VEHICLE? NOISE, RIDE QUALITY, WEAR??? HIS YUKON ISN'T LIFTED AT ALL, AND THE SIZE WILL BE A 285.

All I can say is if he's running micheliens now he will not be happy with the street performance of them at all, I have yet to find a tire on the street that competes with michelins on a pickup or Peterbilt :Big Grin:

That being said, the 37's I have on my jeep actually ride pretty decent on the jeep even with the bead locks didn't require a ton of weight to balance either. The seem on par with the noise of a mud terrain tire though maybe a bit less than the KM's though.

I think they are going to suck ass on the ice, not enough sipping.

Just got my new set on the the DD. Love'm so far. Much queiter than the older MT/R's, and balanced out real nice. Hopefully it'll snow soon so I can really test'em out.
