IF YOU ARE REALLY WANTING TO DO THIS I WOULD LOOKED FOR A WRECKED CUMMINS AND DO A CAB SWAP......YOUR FRAME WILL NOT LIKE DIESEL TORQUE...AND WILL TWIST!!!
THE FIRST GEN CUMMINS PU HAD THAT VERY PROBLEM....AN OLD GUY THAT USED TO WORK NEXT TO ME HAD TOLD ME ABOUT FRAME REPLACEMENTS UNDER WARRANTY!!!!!:pissed::Crying:

that thing is sweet for sure!!
i think the biggest difference is that is a 1500 hotrod, truely. I wouldn't trust a 1500 frame to towing beyond what the 1500 is rated at. And honestly, why put a cummins in there if you can't tow a freaking freight train.
i think if you could find a donor truck for cheap and were able to pull everything from it to make the swap it might work out for ya. But honestly, the motor, transmission, transfer case, drive line changes, computer changes, radiator, intercooler, intake....etc. That's not going to be cheap. Might be worth it to try and sell your truck and put the money you were going to put towards a motor swap towards a new truck instead. Like this truck

Yea the idea of having sumthing no one else does is cool and the better mpg and knowing i can pull with no problem (just my yota) was nice. i knew going in i wasnt going to be able to pull a gooseneck with 3 rigs on it i just wanted a hot rod/ dd/ towrig but you guys are rite a 3/4 or 1 ton is the way to go i just think its gonna be hard to sell a 1/2 dodge with a 4.7 in it when you can get a hemi
