need help with push button four wheel drive

I have a 2000 chevy sulverado with the push button four wheel drive and having problem wiht it. It has been acting up........it shift it self into 4 wheel drive while my wife was driving it. I disconnect the battery and it came back on. Then yesterday it i put it into 4 wheel drive with no prblem and park it.....i went out a couple hours later and now it will not light up or do anything and is stuck in 4 low......does any one have then same truck and had the same problem if so what did you do to get it to work or does anyone in fernley have a code reader that i can use for a couple of hours:confused:

I DONT HAVE THAT TRUCK BUT I HAVE DELT WITH THAT SYSTEM.....


IF YOU ARENT REALLY GOOD WITH FOLLOWING THE DIAGNOSTIC FOR WHAT EVER CODE IT HAS...I WOULD TAKE IT TO SOMEONE....

THAT BEING SAID I CAN TELL YOU HOW THE ONLY ONE I HAVE EVER WORKED ON, BIT ME...AND COST ME $700....'

FIRST CHECK THE FUSE.....USUALLY THEY BLOW THE FUSE!!!!

THE MODE MOTOR ON THE SIDE OF THE TRANSFER CASE ARE KNOWN TO GO BAD...AND AT $500 A POP YOU DONT WANNA JUST GUESS ON IT.I DID THE DIAG ON THE ONE A CUSTOMER BROUGHT ME,IT SAID BAD MOTOR,REPLACED IT AND IT STILL DIDNT WORK...WHAT I FOUND OUT WAS THE MOTOR SHORTS TO GROUND WHEN IT GOES BAD,THEN IT TAKES OUT THE COMPUTER.....FOR AN EXTRA $700!!!

NOW THIS MAY NOT BE YOUR PROBLEM....BUT IT CAN BE A PRETTY EXPENSIVE SYSTEM TO FIX SO IF YOU DONT FEEL COMFORTABLE.....
