Hey there,

I've been adidicted to TRG's for a while now but this is my first post. I moved back to the area from Tucson almost 3 years ago, grew up in Truckee and bled silver and red. I couldn't be happier to move back to Reno to raise a family around family. I got a Grand Cherokee Orvis with a 5.2L about 6 years ago and have always had the intention of turning it into a crawler. I Just bought H2ORodeo's ZJ for parts. It came with front D44ARB 5:38 and rear 9"ARB 5:38, some good shocks and springs and 37's. I heard this was the place to be for some good advice and research. I hope to start pulling the axles and other parts off in the next couple of weeks. My wife is completely on board as she got a new car out of this, so things should move pretty smooth. Might as well get it out now...I'm Wix little brother and I'm excited to work on this project with him. Below are some pics of my Grand as well as the parts supply. I'll keep you posted on the build.

I WONDERED IF ANYONE WAS EVER GONNA SNAP UP CHRIS'S PAPER WEIGHT AND DO A PARTS SWAP ON TO THEIR ZJ......THATS A GREAT START!!!

ONLY THING I WOULD SUGGEST....PUT A CAGE IN YOURS!!!THAT WAY WHEN IT DOES GET FLOPPED.... ONLY THE GLASS WILL BE THE MAJOR CASUALTY!!!

WELCOME....EX-LURKER!!!!:gapteeth:

A cage is a must! Definetly not an exo-cage. I've benn looking through some build threads on a caged ZJ on mallcrawlin and pirate4x4. The interior cages look pretty tight and I'm a big guy so this could be challenging.
