well maybe now with the new crawl ratio i can drive with a little less throttle. I got to drive it around the block today and its gonna be a learning curve for sure. In low it drives thru the brakes....so Ill need to work on getting rear disks. As of now I shooting for the fullbody class. Ill need to make some sort of door bar.

I went out to MR and practiced a little bit today.The sticky tires are STICKY .My rig works okay as far as a built TJ goes,but it is not a buggy.I need to clean up a short list of gremlins but I am definately in.Oh yeah ....my spotter Rocks! I am lucky I found someone who works well with me and that I can trust...that is all.

I ordered these tube clamps so my door bars will be removeable because I still think I'll be able to put my doors back on after the season is over :dunno: Anyway I will post pics when we are done doing whatever it is we do.

if I wanted to be safe then I wouldn't even be driving my jeep....just curious as to what I really need to pass inspection. I have no idea about what else I need...been to the website and its pretty vague on the rules. I read something about two fire extinguishers and catch cans. Which I do not know how you go about building a catch can for all your fluids...in street stock we used to just have to have rollover valves which I do understand might not be good enough since there are times you won t be completely upside down. I wish there was like some sort of pre-tech before the first event so I would know if I am up to speed...

both buzzies AND my jeep would be in a different class than your street jeep.

your jeep has 40's and still has a steering box attached

my jeep has 44" tires and full hydro steering

buzzies has 42" tires and full hydro steering

lastly, my jeep wouldnt work in a comp at all considering im 93" wide from outside to outside of tires.. they only put the cones.. what.. 90" maybe 92"??? automatically would lose every possible point!!!

The class spec as I recall reqiures your rig to have stock or close to it sheet metal and your has just as much left on it as hers. Yours is a little more BEAT because you DONT drive very well but hell we all cant be pro's right:rolleyes: by the way cones are set at 100" . Dont use anymore excuses all you have to do is sign up for the one event and see what happens. I have personally seen Lisa school you at MR, Hell last I saw you couldnt even make it up the left crack and the following obstacle, I posted vids of her doin both. Besides Buzz usaully pulls your broken shit back to the trailer most of the time right?

for the record, the last time lisa's jeep was able to outwheel my jeep was when i had 35" toyos and she was running your 37" toyo's. that was 2005. the moment i put big boy axles on the jeep, lisa's been just not in the same ball park.

and my jeep's sheetmetal is about less than 1/2 of from the factory. its completely cut off and tubed out after the doors, in case you forgot. lisa still has rear quarter panels.

since i break so often, it should be a walk in the park for lisa, right?? afterall, my bootyfab mog axled jeep can barely get off the trailer before breaking a weld off or blowing a tire??!!!!

BUT WAIT!!! i still have more excuses left on the competition idea... comps break stuff WAYYY faster than recreational wheeling. the whole timed and pressure thing.. im not a fan. and how much is the entry fee at the moment for them?? hmm im going to spend X money just to wheel in a comp!?? i think we'll stick to the strictly recreational stuff:eek:

I was already OAKEY DOAKEYED :neo: I sit in the seat and am fully protected from my shoulders to my toes . I didn't know how to do it otherwise,plus the picture of Erik Miller's rig gave me inspiration.It is kind of akward having a somewhat streetable rig that you know you may WAD UP :dunno: I would like to walk away from this season with a respectably good looking rig :laughat: I am still building(by me I mean my SUPER DUPER TRENT FAB STUNT GUYS :cool:) a 4 seater that I would like to epically rock XRRA, KOH, and CalRocs in(It can be done) So with that said Good luck to all and to all a good night!(wait I'm not going to bed (:rolleyes:)

Just finished up most of the prep on my buggy. I thought my fuel pump was already going out, but my filter was getting clogged with foam. Cleaned the filter and its like new again. I'll have to install my fire extinguishers tomorrow!

Haines kicked ass as always...kinda boring to watch actually:complain::flipoff2:

Lisa was consistent, and strong on the courses that I saw.. A couple more courses under her belt, and she is going to be a strong force.

And Derek came in 2nd in the Formula Trent class.... Emick was on fire this weekend.... if he keeps driving like that.... I don't know what/who is going to stop him...

On a side note, Derek's car looks fuckin badass.... and Shana has some killer pics of it that you will see in the next issue of Crawl;)
