That's right, round two is just around the corner. Many events planned for the weekend including a concert staring The Saddle Tramps. In-case you did not know, there is camping at The Giants Throne.... Party really takes off after hours....

So how was it?
I couldn't make it, my parents drove up from Cali and my dad has been under going Chem for cancer so he couldn't take the heat or the hike, not the one up he hill but just up and down the spectator area. Hope the locals did good. Lisa did you win yet?

Jesse had a bad roll, and is a little sore, I heard Lisa also had a bad roll, but didn't see it. Derek took supermod, John Hall in Promod, welder boy in full body, Dan patterson in stockmod, and Bradshaw took unlimited....

I took a handfull of rolls, and feel like I got hit by a truck today...it definalty was not my weekend:(

gotta give you some credit for rolling your rig on saturday, getting out roll it back over and finish the course!

Jesse was doing great until the course he rolled on. He took the first cone, and I think he went for the big bonus trying to get some back. The crowd was cringing as he worked the bonus line and got all messed up looking pretty sketchy for some time.

I'm not sure how hard Lisa's roll was, I just caught the end, but her rig was still sitting with the hood up when I left, so something must have broken. She was working like crazy to get it fixedin breakdown time, but that didnt happen...

Derek also had a pretty hard roll on the last course on Sunday. He landed on the wheels, but it did not start back up - someone said it was a broken intake manifold?

Rockape must have finished about mid pack. They timed out on two courses, but had decent runs on most of the rest. He had a flop/roll on one course on Satruday, but pulled it out, and finished without much drama.

Shannon Peed in the Torchmate buggy rolled hard on Saturday, and messed up the upper cage pretty bad. Came back out with a hack weld to finish the day, and had a much better repair for Sunday. Im not sure where she finished for the weekend, but seemed to be doing good on Sunday. The Torchmate rig will probably need a new top?

Every time I looked it seemed like Brian's rig was upside down. Was it only on A1 where he didnt get it back over to finish? That time he was in a pretty messed up spot, and it took some work to get the rig back over. The new rig is sure taking a pounding...

Unfortunatly, the rig took more damage on the recovery, than it did on the roll:(
It was a terrible spot to be turtted, and was upsidedown for quite some time. Yeah, we rolled 3 times this weekend. Once we flipped it back over, once I drove out of it, and the 3rd was a mess.

As far as the rig goes, it has two dented tubes, neither of which really need to be replaced anytime soon IMO...the rest is all cosmetic... thank god....

The Torchmate buggy NEEDS a new chassis, that thing is hammered. I predict a lovell chassis in the future!

I had a similar problem, but mine was a simple winch back over. Unfortunately it took a LONG time to get help compared to the last event. I was on my lid for 15-20 minutes before I was winched back over.

I thank the recovery guys so much and I really do appreciate what they do, but there needs to be a little more hurry.

We didn't take the first cone. :dunno: We would have finished the day with maybe a 6 or 7 point lead without even trying that bonus. I just figured we could make it and open up a big lead.
