This is not Pirate board. If you want to use all the swear words you know and start flame-fests, last time I checked, Pirate doesn't charge $$$ to post and they will welcome you there. Keep this forum 4x4-related and Reno-related, hence the name.

I agree denis, people have gotten out of hand lately, if people do want to flame, I think it is ok (and entertaining), but people need to leave swear words off of the board and know when enough is enough. If I wasn't at work, I would be able to spend some more time moderating some of the nastier posts that have been made lately.

:d Agreed, but I Have A Question.what About Fake Cuss Words Like Sh!t,no Fake F Words Or P Words , But Nicer Fake Words Like Sh!t? P.S. IF I DID USE THIS FAKE S-WORD IT WOULD ONLY BE IN A SENTENCE LIKE "SH!T I ROLLED OVER & BROKE MY TOOTHBRUSH LAST WEEKEND".SEE IT'S 4X4 RELATED,BY THE WAY I DID BREAK MY TOOTHBRUSH CAUSE IT WAS PACKED ON TOP WHEN THIS INCEDENT HAPPENED! :nervous:

Come AWN Denis, the ROCKAPE challenge thread was all about talkin crap from its first post,so you lock it and post this thread???Look at all the traffic THAT thread gets,do you think that this board would get this much action without a little drama??
Before Throttleboy,Joe the toe,Crackmonkey,Spoon and myself(Rockape) showed up here, the threads were about eating hamburgers, finding out whos ride you saw driving down the street, bronco canyon and showing off the latest modification you payed someone else to do.
So how about our own HARDCORE SECTION!!!And we will all promise to not infect your board about PJs alt. lifestyle,CrackMonkeys liberty wheeling adventures,Spoons mad rollovers,Throttleboys constant carnage(or his new buggy build),Joe the toes constant trying to get someone to "wheel with him",And my constant ability to stir the crap.Of coarse the hardcore section might become your most watched section, most posted section, most pics section and down right fun for us SCREEN WARRIORS!!!
SO WHAT DO YA THINK???How about a thread containing a POLL and lets see how much "EVERYBODY HATES"the dog and pony show the above offenders have taken this board to..................dont be PATHETIC

Come on Denis,HARDCORE AREA!!!!That way if you dont want to see it DONT CLICK ON IT!!!I could moderate it :yup: :yup: B-sauce could come up with nice little pics for everybody.Joe the FRO :fro: could set up our carnage sessions,Throttle could show up and just break,Spoon could show us the proper form to cartwheel his buggy on flat ground,Crack Monkey could bring refreshments and I could bring out my buggy (at the wrong time  )and not even scratch it!!

Denis, you are an arrogant web-nazi crybaby. Who exactly is this web site for? It's members and visitors, or YOU personally? Do you even READ the posts before you delete them? Kairo can do whatever "math" he wants. When was the last time ANYTHING you posted had 1700+ views.
Prove my point one way or the other. Open up a poll and let everyone vote.If I am wrong, then I'll gladly shut my mouth, and then you can say "Look kids, Daddy's little web site that six people look at". There's something to be proud of!
Oh, and by the way....... Not ONE swear word, spelled correctly or incorrectly, was used in this post.

I never delete the posts. I am against this kind of censorship. All I'm trying to do is bring awareness to the "problem", so you guys can control yourselves. I don't have time to sit all day and read every post and censor stuff out. I don't want someone coming to our site and seeing all the BS and flaming, cuz they don't know if you're really angry or just lightheartedly talking smack. 4x4 community has an unpleasant image in the eyes of the majority of population, this doesn't help it.

Many people here have Reno4x4 stickers on their vehicles, and by looking at the "How did you find this site" thread, many people are finding it through web searches. The website is still very young, but as it grows, more and more people are going to look here to see what "Reno 4x4" is about. This website and what is posted here is a direct reflection of who we are. If people in our community get the impression that all we are is a bunch of swearin', ghetto talkin', disrespectful yahoos, that will carry over to the image they have of all four wheelers and off-road enthusiasts. When trails get closed (like the Peavine issues recently) who do you think people will blame? If they come here, I'm afraid they would think we are part of the problem, simply by the content that is posted on this site.

So... are we part of the problem? What have you (we) done to be part of the solution?

I'd like to see more interest in the "Events and Trail Runs" and "Land Use" sections. Also 4x4 Tech. Limit trash talk to one section and put it at the bottom of the main page so that its not the first thing people see when they visit here. Or just do away with it completely. I'm not here for the drama queen threads and frankly don't have the time for it. I don't like the swearing and prefer the site, and our events, to be more family oriented.

That is all - my rant is done!

Well you could be constructive and help resolve the situation, or you can continue to aggravate two of the three people here who can ban you... FYI, Denis doesn't delete many posts or threads. I deleted 2 today that were redundant copies of others with absolutely know relevance to anything what so ever. They were outside even the realm of things that could be considered "chit chat"
And, as far as the number of viewers to our webpage. Lest you forget--well, you weren't here during that time--Reno4x4 started out with about 10 people. We were polite, we went wheeling, and we brought our families and friends with us. Your use of this website is a priveledge, not a right. Denis puts alot of time and effort and money into this site, and his wishes deserve to be respected. You don't like it? Take a hike.

No it is not personal at all - I just don't care for the ghetto talk. And I do appreciate the winch. As far as Moonrocks is concerned we have been there many times, so just because we don't show when you do doesn't mean we don't wheel ;) We tend to like to wheel more trails than just the moonrocks, especially when the weather is good and more trails are open. (Remember, us XJ guys have the means to do more "trails" rather than just Moonrocks, or Loon to Sluice and back out...) I'm sure when the weather turns cold again, we'll be stuck to doin the local spots, until we're tired of it again. :)

I very much enjoyed wheeling with Rockape at Bud Canyon with his CJ, so again don't think I have something against people that own buggies. It does seem that you guys are different in person because then you are down to earth, and pleasant people to be around and wheel with, just like everyone else. But on here, you guys lack any and all restraint when it comes to what you say to people. Thats normal for the internet and posting with a moniker gives you the anonymity to do that. Yeah I know its just talkin' smack and joking around but not everyone that happens across this board knows that, and that was my point.

If you want to plan an organized clean up of Moonrocks, please do and I will be there. I think the discussion we had before was a cleanup that others turned into a discussion of "adopting" Moonrocks which I still don't think this board is big enough or capable of making that commitment. Is it my fault, that the clean-up never happened? I sure hope you don't think so, because it wasn't even my idea. If someone wants to plan it, and follow through, I will support it and be there.

I have some ideas for cleanups on a smaller scale that still could be used to improve the image of the off-road comunity by letting the media know, etc but as you know the majority of this board lacks commitment. I would hate to announce a cleanup to the media and have a dismal turnout similar to what we see on our trail rides...

As far as it goes the REI, Sierra Club, Tree Huggers, etc. don't see any difference between the four wheelers that try to protect trails and the yahoos who swill beer and tear it up. They want all technology banned from wilderness areas, GPS, cell phones, Four By's, ATV's, everything. Well except for their internal frame pack packs and Whisperlight Stoves and freeze dried meals. Any post that makes us look like 'Po White trash is just ammo to them. Lord knows the liberal left would never use a quote out of context  , but why tempt them?
When the trash talk was all in the Rockape challange it didn't bother me. But then it seems to be spilling into every other thread. I agree the most viewed stuff is full of the BS, but you guys seem bright enough to keep it interesting without being crude. Maybe you could give it a chance.

I dont think we are being any more crude than most guys out wheelin with some buddys are.To myself it is the same SH-- talking as if you or anybody out wheelin with me or any of the fearsome four(wheelers). It is fun for us,(even if a few of the posts are made out of anger)if it gets you offended than stay out of the "HARDCORE"section.I like the fact that there is a disclaimer about that section on the main page, because everyone knows that in there it is NO HOLDS BARRED.

The key here is "when you are out wheelin", not posting to a public board. Me, I don't get offended easy, the general public might. I started my post with a thank you to Denis for creating the Hardcore forum. Every site needs a place where you can give each other a hard time.
Did I follow the rockape challange? Hell yes, as I pointed out there were a lot of views and I did follow it. And I will most likely be lurking in the hardcore section. My point was it started getting old when it became part of every thread. Any gag gets old when you over do it.

Another thing I mentioned is you all seem to be bright guys, smart enough to make a point without a bunch of $$$ and certainly smart enough to FIGURE OUT WHERE THE CAPS LOCK KEY IS. I'm guessing you could all be funny and entertaining and still keep it fairly family friendly.

I beg to differ...The beer drinkin, hardcore guys that are ruining the trail :disagree: Think about this for a second, when i go to rubicon or any other trail most of the damage you see isn't from the beer drinkin hard core guy...it's from the small tire havin, buys all his parts from kragen,& hasn't spent an eighth of the time on his rig as the hardcore guy, that digs big azz holes or has to go through brush to get around every rock GUY  :banned:

Toe the words you speak are the ABSOLUTE TRUTH!!!! I head up to the 'con on a fairly regular basis. I rarely ever see the guys with the extreme built rigs to be the problem in most cases. Almost every time I see some type of trail abuse it is the inexperienced, underbuilt, wannabe big dog rockcrawler types that are doing the damage. For example earlier this year when the 'con was wet and muddy, I happened to come across some wheelers from a local Reno "family oriented" club who were about to take off across a meadow to by-pass a puddle that they felt they couldn't cross. I had to stop them and explain to them that this was the wrong thing to do. They fortunately listened and turned around and headed out. But still on their way out they decided that it didn't matter if they ran off the trail and spun their tires in the mud, digging holes, running over vegetation, all because their non-locked rigs couldn't handle the snow on the trail. I got lots more stories like this to tell and its the same type of people in every one of them, inexperienced people driving underbuilt ill-equipped vehicles. People who spend upwards of $30,000 or more on their vehicles are VERY in-tune with what is happening with trails such as the Rubicon and realize that their investment of time and money in their rig is all-for-not if trails get shut down. The blanket stereotypical statements made (some by people on this board) about tube buggies and bigger tired extreme rigs being the causes of all trail evils and damage, are downright stupid. Try running trails such as the Rubicon and Fordyce more than once a year and you will most likely see exactly what i'm talking about.

man, now we are doggin on the people who dont have $30k to throw into a Trail Only Rig? Nope, not at all! And don't try steering this discussion that way. I am simply stating that lots of the damage that takes place on trails such as Rubicon and Fordyce is from people in lesser built rigs with little or no experience in four wheeling who can't make obstacles so they decide to blaze an illegal by-pass in order to continue on. Since they are ignorant enough to run off the trail, these people are usually just as ignorant when it comes to leaving trash and crapping and leaving toilet paper lying all over the place. I am also not saying that every tube buggy and extreme rig owner is a model trail citizen either. Some have been the cause of problems too. But from my experiences on the trail 80% of the time its the inexperienced, new to rockcrawling, wannabe sluice box player, punk-arse kids(and some adults) who are responsible for a lot of the problems that everyone seems to want to finger the extreme rig and buggy owners for. And being a buggy owner who respects the trails and other users on the trail, I am damn tired of being accused as a group for being responsible for all damage that occurs on trails. And usually the accusers are ill-informed morons who seldom visit the Rubicon and Fordyce. If people in the four-wheeling community keep feeding and believeing this erroneous stereotype and further keep trying to divide the community, we WILL LOSE trails such as Rubicon and Fordyce.

This board does not need to polarize itself like this because we are all on the same side of this issue. The people who think they are hard core think are thinking that everyone is blaming them for tearing things up. NOBODY SAID THAT! And everyone that doesn't have a rig built out of tube doesn't mean they are a "newbie" tearing things up.

Spoons not talkin about the "newbie" people on this board or bashin people here. I have heard many off roaders, even veteran people that have very much influence with the rubicon, point out that they feel that the buggy types were probably to blame for all the problems on the Rubicon.
The problem "newbies" are the people that dont go to any of the 4x4 forums, or inform themselves on whats right and wrong. They take what they want and do whatever they want to have a good time.
Any newbie vs. HARDCORE talk on this board is really for the most part not serious, people should not take it to seriously and get offended to easily :boohoo: :D

Spoon, yeah I do take it seriously sometimes, it seems like some people here get worked up over what I post also... ;)

The thing that got to me was that I post this:

I don't like the swearing and prefer the site, and our events, to be more family oriented.

and you said:

I happened to come across some wheelers from a local Reno "family oriented" club who were about to take off across a meadow to by-pass a puddle that they felt they couldn't cross. "Family oriented" to me doesn't have anything to do with what vehicle you drive or what trails you run. Maybe it has a different meaning to you guys. I like the more difficult trails as much as the next guy, and I also like watching the better built rigs try the "hardcore" obstacles on those trails also.

I felt you were saying that because I wanted a "family oriented" forum and events that that somehow means I am an uneducated newbie that is "inexperienced" and driving "underbuilt ill-equipped vehicles". Yeah, I know its just semantics, but as far as I can tell you weren't joking when you said that. So maybe you can see why that stuff gets to me.

Anyway, kudos for helping those people see that what they were about to do was wrong. So just curious... which local "family oriented" club were they from?

NOW i can tell you what i really think :yup: !!YOU are the one with the problem and cant let it go....why :scratchhe ??go back and reread ALL the posts before you say this is a hard core vs newbie debate no one is arugeing only expressing their veiws and making points...thats how it is in the real world unlike your world where every thing is YOUR way!!as far as this thread being about one thing and turning into something else....thats the norm on this and most other boards!! WE....99% of this site ARE on the same side just because WE dont agree on every subject do'es not mean we are not down for each other!! that being said its time for the peoples elbow :yup: ....i think your an arrogant prick and you think your better that everyone else on this site and probable in the world.....your NOT so get over yourself!! i want everyone to go back and read posts #29,#36 and #62 and give me your thoughts, arrogant or not?? BTW Ericsclowncar no one could work with you....your to good  !!

Me? Arrogant? Ookay, whatever you say throttle. Every post you've made about buggies vs XJs, hardcore vs newbie, who wheels where or who doesn't wheel at all, and everything posted in your ghetto vernacular, is beaming with arrogance! :yup:

I could care less what you think of me personally - I have been called worse by better.

And whats with those posts pj??Compensating for something?? :blahblah:
I was planning on going out to MR, but when I called joe, he said nobody was out there so I didn't go. Instead I got to work on my truck.
On a side note, don't ever go to les schwab to have them mound used tires. I went in at 7:30 to get them mounted and they wouldn't do it for "liability reasons" If you do go down and see Aaron (deadandcompany) at Big O off of Mae Anne, he got me in and out in 30 minutes and even let me use my super secret method of balancing (golf balls).
Dustin and I are probably going out somewhere tommorow, if anybody wants to go, let me know.

I would agree that the guys who have time and money invested in their rigs are not the problem. These are also the guys who aren't going to get blind drunk on the trail and mess up their rig.

At any rate the greenies put everyone with a four wheel drive that uses it for anything other than driving around town in the same class.

So what exactly is the image you want for our passtime?

heres one more vote for 'les schwab sucks'. i went to replace one of my toyos today.. $58 fawkin bucks for a tire thats under warranty for the first 25% of tread wear. ive only had the damn things for like 2 months.. whats the deal. its a hard rubber compound so theres no way i could have already ripped off over 25% of the tread... theyre a bunch of asshats...

thats only the most recent experiences with them. i cant wait to get rid of those toyos just because i dont want to have anything to do with them

butt pluger = :thumbsdow All right Turd Trooper ya' flippin' newbie and any other newbies :flip-off: :D :flip-off: Welcome to the Ghetto!!!! Now I see we have just reached 200 members here and I realize that many of you newtards don't understand the whole Pizza Flamer story or the whole HARDCORE vs. *****core battle that has taken place on this board. I suggest that if you want to play in the Ghetto, you do yourself a favor and search for Pizza Flamers posts, read them and take a count of how many times he talks about poopchutes, bungholes, circle jerks and other various homosexual acts and you will then come to realize why we refer to him as Pizza Flamer, Pizza Fag, Rainbow Jeep, piece-o-fruit, the Butt Pirate of Steves Loop, Pizza Queer, and various other names befitting for his "alternative lifestyle". Also go back and read the "Where is this trail thread" Parts 1&2. This historical thread will help you to identify the personalities of many of the members on this board and help you to further understand the XJ Nations wrath and anger towards the HARDCORE playaz on this board. And remember, when posting in the Ghetto be SURE to use ghetto-speak because the XJ guys absolutely love it!!!!! :yup: Thank you, and once again welcome to the Ghetto :lamer: :ban: :ban: :ban: :ban:

NOW IF I WASNT RUBBING MY CRYSTAL BALLS AND TELLING THE FUTURE HERE^^^ ......THIS THREAD IS A CLASSIC AND THE REAL BEGINNING OF THE END FOR RENO 4X4 AS IT WAS!!!!NOW THEY JUST ARE TRG WANNA BEE'Z!!!
