Buggy question

You guys with like 40" tires and tube frames. . . How much do you air down to, if at all? Are your vehicles of signifigant weight that it makes much of a difference? Looking at some of the pictures, the tires don't seem to flatten much.

I usually air down to 5psi in the front and 3 or 4psi in the rear.The mtrs dont like to bulge at the side walls like a bias ply will and the buggys light weight doesnt help much either.The next time I make it out to the MR I was going to go even lower with the air pres.
The next tire I buy for rock only performance will probably a bias ply super swamper sx or some blingin 39inch red label krawlers(if I can get bfg to sell them to me)

its not so much the fact that its a buggy, moreover the factors are weight, and the type of tire it is. weight(obviously) plays a big factor, but the brand and make of tire makes even more of a differenc ive noticed. i have friends with boggers who will just take the valvestems out and go. the sidewalls are so thick and stiff that it doesnt matter to the bogger type. then you have mud terrains which vary quite a bit depending on if theyre made by bfg, toyo, goodyear and so on.

:D Kairol I run the same pressure as the Chimp, 5 psi in the fronts and 3psi in the rear on Goodyear MTRs.

not a buggy but i run 4 to 6 front and 4 or less rear.and yes it makes a huge diff.. the more tire you have on the rock the better also an aired down tire helps absorb some of the shock(smoother ride) and forms to the rocks which helps traction ;) !!

Not a buggy???That thing isnt even a truck.More like a china made tank, goes good for a while then EVERYTHING BREAKS.You bendin tube for that CHEVROLET buggy yet??? :disagree: (smilie guy says NO!!)

dude i know.. what a bunch of crap for those 44 shafts... theyre ONLY 35's.. theyre still small tires in relation. so with cromolys this week, maybe ill stop splining out those 44 shafts. prorocks are still in the making for next year, before my next tire step up. 42's... cuz ya cant lose with 42s.. right??
